FLATOMORPHIC DESIGN

Flatomorphic Design has been with us for years. It has been a part of pop-culture, technology and classic brands.

Here are a few examples:

Flatomorphic Question

Flatomorphic is my favorite design style. I was wondering what you think?

Who makes these words up?

I think what you're looking for is 'minimal'. However, the Epcot one does not fall into that category as there are far too many superfluous elements for it to be designated as such.

I was looking at the Epcot Ball specifically in regards to its flatomorphism.

Minomorphic Design, Desaturomorphic Design, Plainomorphic Design. Haven't you heard of all these? :D

So is this the morphicgate? Or would that be gateomorphic?

It's flatabulous. But not as much as the Atari logo...

"Flatomorphic" was originally suggested in a recent Tweet for Apple's new style name. Works for me.

I think it's fun looking backwards at the roots of Flatomorphia. It also turns out the design style owes a lot to the 70's.

Enjoy.

That's the best made up word since "Photogrammartology" you should write your doctoral thesis on this then travel the world guest lecturing at all the top design schools.
