I've found that it works well and does what you tell it to. It's just that the sheer volume of options provided can be overwhelming. I think that there are broken things in Windows which means that a Vantage function may not work but, if Microsoft fixes it, it starts to work.
Its always running, slowing my system, takes a while to actually start up, and for me, it doesn't offer anything unique. I don't need the vantage app to look for updates, when that's already done through windows. More so if its consuming resources for no benefit imo.

That is one of the pain points for me with MacOS is the window management. I know there are 3rd party apps to make it more Windows like, but damn, that should not be a thing. The other thing I don't like is the finger gymnastics (Command+Shift+8+any key) for menial tasks. I never liked that part of it either.

File management is just something to get used to and not a deal breaker for me. But it is different than windows.

Tim Cook announced yesterday in the Wall St Journal that Mac, iPad and iPhone prices will be going up due to rising DRAM and SSD prices. These price increases could be substantial.

In watching the Microcenter bundles, prices are rising about $50 each week. I assume DRAM prices are rising accordingly.

The good news is that you can buy the bundle (unlike Mac Studios). The bad news is that you just pay more for them. I'd like an M5 Studio but I might settle for a 9900X or 270K right now and than an M5 Studio in 2027. I'd hoped that prices would come down with Chinese competition or the AI bubble popping but it seems to be getting worse.

Was thinking of buying a MacBook Air in a couple of months (Budget reasons), but after this news, I’ll reinstall windows 11 on my Alienware M16 R2 and stick with that for another year or so.

But really glad I bought my 13 inch IPad Air a few months ago.

I just saw a podcast that said that Corsair Vengeance (DRAM) is now manufactured by Changxin Memory Technologies (CXMT). I guess that's how Microcenter can do those bundles with DRAM at such low prices.

That's what we are doing as well. Staying put with what systems we have and riding out the Ai Shatstorm.

Not for nothing, I think Macs have a lot of advantages over PCs. More so if you use other Apple products. I just easily pushed some images from my phone to my Mac at a touch of a button. I can reply to a text on my Mac instead of my phone.

Then there's the decisions MS has been making, and enforcing regarding windows. For me, using the M4 Studio has been a great experience. I can't see myself flopping back to Windows. I will say that I have done a modified "flop" in that I use Linux on my desktop that was running windows.

With that said, I do find myself using my Studio quite often, as I'm on the studio right now
