Great app, placed in my Homescreen. I will probably use this as a complement to Pulse and Tweetbot, though--not a replacement.

Waiting for their servers to calm down, not getting any luck setting it up right now.

But I also agree it'd be awesome if Apple bought this.

Flipboard is indeed gorgeous. Sometimes I get lost down in the pages, though.

I usually use Pulse, Taptu... and I've just discovered "Brief Me" which I have installed on a Samsung Tab 10.1. I like the way it lays out the subtopics.

They're all great. Would love more filtering capability.

Flipboard - All the info needed in a condensed slick app. I really enjoy it on iPad, will check it out on iPhone.

Not sure if this is just me, but Flipboard doesn't seem to be working for me. Are the servers down?

I like the format of the app, but one thing that really irks me...how do you select the news sources from the topics that you have chosen? For instance, I chose to have "Sports" on the front pages, but when I go into sports I get a bunch of pages from a surfer site (which I don't care for).

At the moment I still like Pulse, as I can view a multitude of headlines as once from sites that I am interested in (like this one, MacRumors). With Flipboard you have to flip thru a bunch of articles that you might not be interested in.

We'll see though as I'm still testing it (well not at the moment because their servers are getting slammed). I do like the one handed operation of the format.

Too bad it doesn't work...

Looks like the servers are bogged down with requests. I can't even log in anymore. iPhone nor iPad work with or without WiFi

Not sure if this is related to the servers being down,

mine says could not create your clipboard, check your internet connection.

I am connected via WiFi, and safari works.

Thats what everyone seems to be getting.

Hope they fix this soon. I'm itching to try this app :D

Server issue, indeed. It says I have no Internet connection. Which, of course, I do.

Love this app on my iPad. It doesn't seem nearly as fluid or as easy to set up on the iPhone. But then again, once you have a great reader app like this on the iPad, using it on the iPhone is a poor substitution.

They should have built in some sort of notifier to alert users who don't use tech blogs that "servers busy, try again in a few hours".

Pretty uninformed error.

Genuinely asking before I have chance to download this..

Can anyone explain the benefits over this to something like Pulse or Taptu, which is what I currently use?

just my opinion

for RSS I use Reeder
for anything else I use Flipboard
if a website supported by Flipboard, articles will have a custom layout, really beautiful, even the font is custom
if not Flipboard will try to pull a RSS version of that page.

For photo sites or sites have a lot of photo (flickr, 500px, mymodernmet), Flipboard absolutely the best.
Also the UI is beautiful than Pulse, comment sector clean and easier to use.
The featured articles is great too.

Flipboard feel like a magazine or newspaper. Pulse just like (IMO) a mediocre RSS reader.

Tip of the day. Sign up for a flipboard account on the iPad and the iPhone version works.
Took me 2 minutes and it's working great. Of course you need an iPad !!

So you can sign up fine on the iPad, it's just the iPhone? Why's that? Maybe they have dedicated servers to the iPhone client?

For new users it still appears to be broken, can't get in for the first time. You think they would of prepared better for launching this their obviously popular app on the iPhone.

Yeah - it's a free app, but doesn't exempt it from being flamed through a poor launch.

although I got in through the ipad and its now working on my iphone im unable to verify my email so still problems, anyone know how companies like this make money as theres no ads that i can see on it??

Loving it on my iPhone, have loved it for a long time on my iPad.

Just two wishes, I really, really wish one could create more then 17 or so "squares". Not sure why this is limited.

Also wish one could read one's Read It Later reading list. The app allows one to save items to RIL but not view the list. If it did then I would have access to all of my "reading lists": Google Reader starred items, Twitter Favorites and then RIL. That would be nirvana for me!

It doesn't work for me. Refuses to accept that I am connected to the internet and no other app has any trouble connecting.
