It works for me now and I can log into my account. I still want to know how I can get rid of certain sources (like that surfer mag in Sports)

Yeah - it's a free app, but doesn't exempt it from being flamed through a poor launch.
It's cool how companies can aggregate and sell your personal information, but get all the benefits of being considered a free gift because they didn't charge you money for their app.

Anyway, slick app.

Ok I just figured out how to hide sources you don't want to see. Just tap the bottom part then tap the head icon. Tap mute.

Very nice app.

lol this explains why i woke up an the app was on my iphone all of a sudden..same thing happened with garage band, didn't realzie they were making an iphone version of both

Still having server trouble? It's working fine on my iPad and I created an account this morning. But when I try to sign in on my iPhone it says the page I'm looking for doesn't exist. The user name and password are right. Is something messed up with my account, or on their end? I waited about 20 minuets after I confirmed my email with flipboard to try and sign in. Are things just moving slowly over there?

How do you remove article sources? I don't want any USA news in the News feed, just UK news (I've selected BBC etc). The BBC etc show up in the News feed, but I can't seem to be able to remove sources.

flip through pages untill you see more, then go to your flipboard and then edit and you can remove stuff you don't want then add stuff that is specific to you.

----------

the app is a bit flakey at the mo. Nothing seems to be updating

Yeah, I can see that it's added a BBC News flip bit at the bottom, along with The Guardian for news.

However, I thought I'd be able to choose what I wanted in the actual "News" flipboard? Essentially, I want BBC News, The Guardian and Sky News to be combined into one News flipboard.

Doesn't seem like that is possible..?

oh ok. I'm not too sure then. Sorry.

Now it lets me sign in, but it says the request timed out. Guess it's on their end.

It's possible to at least hide sources you don't want. Just tap the bottom part then tap the head icon on any source you don't want. Then tap hide.

Not sure how to add sources to a specific flipboard though.

Nice. Still juggling between Flipboard, Pulse and Zite on my iPad though... each have their individual merits.

Zite is by far my favorite app out of the three. I have been using it since day one and I get plenty of stories that I like now. Love it. However since it isn' available for the iPhone, I am going to be trying this one out for sure!

Yeah, that was what I was after, adding sources to a specific flipboard or even removing sources from a specific flipboard.

Flipboard was a major reason to get an iPad over an Android tablet.

Now Google Currents is out, and it looks pretty good. It runs on everything from tablets to phones, on Android or iOS. I'm trying it out now.

Anyone else tried it yet?

I installed it on my iPad and played around with it for a day, then deleted it and went back to Flipboard. Flipboard seems more intuitive and the article layout was much better.

Flipboard is cool and looks great, but I have to say I have a couple of gripes that no one seems to mention...so I guess it's just me.

1) When reading non-Google Reader articles, the app fails to mark your read articles. This leaves you with a massive stack of "pages" and your left trying to figure out what's read and what isn't
2) On the iPhone, I still prefer Reeder. The headlines are in tidy rows and you can scroll through them quickly. Flipboard looks nice, but your constantly having to thumb your way though each headline. Not efficient.

Anyway, I definitely think the app is cool and I'm not trying to start anything up. Just curious to hear if my particular gripes bother anyone else.

I'm so glad I got this app.

Its the first thing I check in the morning when I wake up. It handles twitter really well and its actually got me reading news articles because they are just there.

I'm looking forward to getting the iPad3 as this will be the first thing I put on it. :D
