Just tried to get the one at the Altamonte store and by the time I hit Check Out it was already gone I hesitated because I still have my AT&T Preorder I would need to cancel. Does anyone have experience with cancelling a preorder, after having ordered a phone from Apple for in-store pickup? I assume I would have to pay full price for the phone from Apple because of the 2-yr contract having just been renewed with my AT&T preorder, but is there a way to switch it to the phone purchased from Apple and get to only pay the subsidized $399?

Florida has been dry all week, it's pretty sad, I am on the verge of driving to SC this weekend if I can reserve on there. But to answer your question, yes you can buy full price Verizon phones and it will be unlocked and work with everyone but Sprint. You just can't reserve a phone at full price unless you have them as a carrier already.

All Verizon phones are the same, they just can't be reserved without a contract. You'd have to buy them as a walk in, or sign up for a contract and cancel it before you leave and pay for the phone full price. There was a thread about it a couple days ago.

I look everyday serval times a day & Boca never has 6 or 6+'s. I went to store on Monday also, none. All the AT&T stores have none. Best Buy, none. Walmart never got any.
