The local streaming server is NOT available for Mac yet, despite the press release.... It states coming soon.

Received my Flytunes Download.

I finally received my Flytunes Download today. The program works great. I purchased the iphone cable that allows me to hook up my iphone to my stereo. Now i can listen to the streaming music through my Denon Surround Sound Stereo.

Don't bother trying to click on the download links that hve been posted for flytunes because it wont work. The link flytunes sent had my email address is the url link.

Once you receive the download link you are able to invite 3 friends to enjoy flytunes. After 72 hours the link expires.

I hope this clears up some of the questions that have been posted.

By the way, the streaming quality is quite good.

I got an email yesterday and they asked me to choose a password and login from my ipod and now i have it!

How is this different from Simplify Media?

Ahh, nevermind, this streams from some central server, not your home machine. I'd prefer just to keep listening to my own music, though maybe in a pinch FlyTunes might be interesting.

Flytunes Question

As most of you probably did I got my official flytunes link today in my inbox. But i am wondering why in my email it only has the link to register from my iPhone but not the link to download the software to my computer. Does anyone else have the official flytunes software on their computer and how did you get it?

Thanks Alot

I signed up on Flytunes website the other day and just got my log in info today.. I just went to the website on my touch and it loaded the "web app" for streaming music.

flytunes for PC

I dont think Flytunes is available for your PC yet. I have tried the beta version and its pretty cool. I was able to search my favorite artists and then create my own stations that would play their songs.

If anyone needs a download link for flytunes email me at durty_vegas@yahoo.com. My link expires Sunday night.

I got mines today

i checked my email on my itouch and clicked the provided link it was a breeze to set up and I am now listening to the "dance hits" station. Very entertaining! Don't you just wish the world had wifi naturally as air!

I had my link 2 days ago, not that impressed...

Alternative Rock has never been available since I have had the service...

Ok, Im registered, but I dont have the download for my PC. Does anyone have that or can someone link me to it?

There is no download, it's a webapp.

Although they do an app called mediacatcher I believe, but no details on that other than the mac version is not ready.

Most useful web app available

Fly tunes is great... I was a bit disappointed at first but each time I launch the web app there are new features and more stations. I really like the new history feature that allows me to pick songs that I have listened to and replay them. the audio quality of wifi is great and the low bandwidth edge stations aren't nearly as good or as abundant but its great when I'm at the gym and dont want to listen to the crappy music they have playing and I haven't had any issues with streaming when listening to and edge station.

Hi all!

I'm fairly new to using itunes/ipods (stay at home mom who has been consumed with things like potty training and getting my daughter to eat something other then grilled cheese LOL) but I just got a iPod touch and found flytunes yesterday. I was thrilled when I saw it had radio disney, to be able to save a couple hours of that before I head out on a long walk with my daughter will be wonderful but it looks like it's not a readily available option yet right?

If anyone else has a link they would share that would let me be part of the beta testing for that PLEASE let me know!

Thanks so much!
