No, Apple tend to go like for like so it will probably start at £2,000 if Gurman is correct. Tho it will probably be very limited at launch.
Your probably right, the base MBP M5 is like for like at £1,999 and $1,999. But the Vision Pro is £3499 in UK, and $3699 in the US, and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is £749 and $799, so not always like for like.

Finally! I'm super excited about this device and its potential moving forward. I've been waiting for their foldable entry for years. I've tried Samsung's offerings and they are very fun to play with but I dislike Android.

Apple surprises in software here and there, so I hope we get some good stuff tomorrow.

I don’t think it will be called the iPhone Duo. For a company like Apple, especially with the rumored launch approaching, you’d expect them to secure domain names related to the product name well in advance. However, if you visit iphoneduo.com, it currently redirects to an adult website. That makes “iPhone Duo” seem like an unlikely name.

what glass? glass breaks..physics,, you will still be able to dent your display with your fingernail
and what pencil support? iphone needs a smaller one than the one for the ipads
I’d hazard a guess that they’re talking about the two layers of ultra thin glass in the inner screen sandwich.

No one is buying a phone for $2,000 when they see how no one buys that then they will lower the price. I wish they would release iphone se 4th generation and at a lower price $400-$500 but they wont.

I think you are gonna be disappointed. They are going to sell really well. When people hold it, they will want it. Even if you can’t afford it now, if you want it, you’ll eventually buy one.

Unlike the iPhone Air, the form factor actually provides new use cases. I’m not going to buy one until the cameras are better and its not as wide when closed, but I have tried several Android foldables and there is a market for these as they mature….. also a really fast growing one in China.

P.S. Go Phillies!

The two bendable glass layers in the display under the exterior plastic layer.
glass breaks at that bend degree ...and if the exterior is plastic then whats the point...so no, at least not at this price point...remember that Apple said no to sapphire crystal because of the dimming displays but also the price

Almost 10 years of foldable phones would disagree with you. The ultra thin glass…is glass.

I think they're doing this "effort" -absorbing some of the costs - so as to prepare the ground for future foldable devices like iPads and MacBooks.

For example, it could be a way to slowly bring down foldable displays' production cost.

Launch later than the iPhone 18 Pro makes sense (given the low production numbers), but I wonder if they’ll delay preorders like they did with the iPhone X or do them all at the same time.
I really hope the preorders are at the same time. I want to order before everyone gets excited from reading about hands on and tries to preorder.
