That first iPhone price was subsidized by the required, expensive AT&T cellular contract.I remember when the first iPhone came out and $499 for a phone seemed like a stupid amount to pay when you could get a free phone on contract. Heck, even the RAZR at $100 seemed like a lot. Oh how young we were...
The form factor that has been mentioned in the rumors regarding the Apple foldable should be very similar to the original Pixel Fold (outside of weight and thinness). I didn't mind the dimensions of my original Pixel Fold at all, minus the weight of it.The outer screen will be a little wider than a Pro Max, but also a good bit shorter:

Nobody wants this.
If I have to open my laptop I feel I’ve failed, I try and do the majority of my work on my phone. This would def. appeal to meFor those whose phone is their live-on-it primary device, I can see the appeal, for sure. For those of us like me who are light phone users, it would be harder to justify. Even though I won't buy one I'm still interested in following its development to see what Apple comes up with in the foldable space.
If you want to game on a portable device, get the OLED Steam Deck 1TB.But can it run Crysis?
That's because Apple want to sell you both of them and therefore delaying the release of a foldable as long as possible - because - reasons - you know... The same why you never will be able to use the power of the iPad as a replacement for a Mac or you can't have the telephone app on an iPad. Apple simply wants to sell you both or triple - simple math!![]()
A foldable iPhone would very likely cannibalize a big chunk of the iPad market. I guess apple will price the new foldable iPhone based on this. A pro iphone + an iPad (+ maybe q little extra for the R&d/complexity) = $?I want one - I carry my iPad mini around with me for books, photos, videos, etc but of course also need an iPhone for calls and CarPlay. Having one dual-purpose device only makes sense to me.
i would do a Fold if the front screen size was the same or bigger than the current Pro Max screen.
Ugh, that would suck. If you don't go for the foldable — you're limiting yourself of all the premium options. Hope this won't happen.I don’t believe they will, but what could happen is the folding iPhone at some stage becomes the regular/Pro iPhone, perhaps at a slightly lower price.
I'm a mini user and despite the fact this thing will be significantly wider than my mini, I'm tempted to buy one since it will be so short that it should be harder to topple out of the hand. You can have an opinion, the proper way is to make one yourself.
I'd rather have both a phone and a mini tablet in the same device, in my pocket, without the bag.The iPad you already own and a bag is much cheaper…
