I have a sticker that I used underneath the MagSafe ring adapter… so, the skin is not necessarily molded on, like the example I showed off. But here it is below… don’t care to use the other parts of the skin, just the back.

And I do recommend going with SlickWraps… if anyone does decide to use a skin because they give you an additional one which is the full cover.

Nice setup you did a good job there my friend

Does it give much more grip than a case like the skinny carbon fibre ones?
I didn’t apply the entire skin on the Fold… so I can’t answer that with confidence, but I think the texture feel could give a similar grip to those thin carbon fiber cases. SlickWraps even have Carbon Series skins as well… which I considered getting a white one, but I wanted something that could match the frame on the Fold.

I did one previous phone full phone and it was a pain to get perfectly fitted, definitely gave it great grip and only some skins help with grip as others are slippery too haha

Yeah, it looks good. However, I'd be afraid that I'm going to drop it and mess it up. I need a case. Good luck to you, though.
To each their own. I understand, it’s not for everyone but I like the feel of it without the case… plan on getting some insurance in case something ever happens to it. Plus I’m pretty careful with my devices… but I accidents can occur randomly.

And I’ve had drops… hasn’t resulted in any major damage, never had to take to Samsung to get it fixed just some dings here and there. Nothing to the point where my world has ended lol.

I'm still not a fan of that Google pixel fold screenside, Samsung does it better IMO but looking forward to it nevertheless
Yeah, I give a close edge to Samsung… but if they decide to do something with rounded corners I’ll still go for it.

The S-Ultra series was squarish (while some dislike they moved away from the distinct Note look) and slowly but surely they came to be rounded corners… could be the same trajectory for the Galaxy Fold.

There it is - the inspiration for the Fold 8. A true game changer.

I wonder if many Android users will switch back to IOS for it.
Interesting question. iOS was the reason I switched to Android, lol.

I fully support Apple making a foldable, but slapping an eaten fruit emblem on the back of a foldable isn't enough to entice me back. Apple will need to fix a lot of things about iOS, plus make it foldable-friendly, and maybe add Pencil support before I consider switching back. What form iOS takes will be the determining factor. Apple has to remember there are other great options in the foldable space (that also cost less).

Don't get me wrong, I love my MBP and MacOS. I'm just not that enamored with iPhones and iOS. Waiting to see if Apple can wow me with their foldable OS.

It will be interesting, the software will probably still be lacking the Samsung or Pixel Folds, but should have better app support.

Yup! Tech world is going to go crazy when it officially releases! Tons of comparison videos… day in the life, every title that can be had will be posted online. As much as I would enjoy having one… can’t imagine parting pays with Android.
When you can rip a CD straight to a foldable iPhone I'll be impressed.
