For an external Hard Drive - USB2 or FW400?

if i were to get a triple interface external i could switch what i use and it wouldnt affect anything right? like if i first tried usb 2.0, im not stuck with it right?

also what makes usb 2.0 best for time machine when it comes it out?

no of course not. you can switch between the 3 whenever you want (provided that you disconnect then reconnect using the diferent interfface) im supposing that its usb2.0, fw400 & fw800??
