Correct. The 20% warning and battery meter aren't correct. I got nearly 2.5 hours of continuous use just to get it to the 10% warning.

Correct. The 20% warning and battery meter aren't correct. I got nearly 2.5 hours of continuous use just to get it to the 10% warning.
Success...on two fronts
Took the original poster's suggestion and restored (after backing up) my iPhone. And it seems to be working. Used the phone continuously for half an hour this morning and no battery loss at all! Great suggestion.
And thanks to everyone who told me how to turn off the Location. Got that taken care of as well (but only after using the phone for 30 minutes.)
Seems, as usual, that Mac users are a great resource. So far, I've been able to fix every problem I've ever encountered with their help. Except, of course, the time my 76-year-old aunt spilled a glass of wine in her laptop keyboard and killed it. Not even the geniuses could help me with that one!
