Got mine yesterday. No issue yet.

2.9/16GB/1TB/460

The case is pretty warm above the touch bar but that's all I've noticed so far. Not burning hot or anything.

Also used Migration Assistant to move from my 2013 RMBP 15" and I must say it was the fastest and cleanest migration I've ever had. Aside from having to copy my Windows VM onto an external drive to move it there were no issues and I was up and running in almost no time at all.

Because its happening that often?
That's the price you pay for having 2.9GHz on paper (aside from those 300$) in a laptop which cooling system is designed using "barely sufficient" philosophy and doesn't have any significant headroom.

This is so ironic, I'm being persuaded in another thread that thermals aren't an issue and boost performance of the upgraded CPUs is what we all need :D:D:D

No major issues here on my 2.7/1tb/460. I did have a slight flickering upon startup (wasn't residual), but that has been fixed with the recent Sierra update.

2.7/1tb/460 here. My main issue seems to be when the laptop switches to the discrete graphics, which can happen for something as simple as viewing certain items on Facebook. During the switch, the laptop freezes for somewhere between 1/2 a second and 5 seconds, quite annoying.

I haven't seen any graphics corruption, but the whole experience seems a bit unpolished for an Apple product. There are a bunch of glitchy behaviors that don't occur often enough for me to figure out what caused them. For example, a blinking mouse cursor, being unable to type into the Safari search bar, and drag and drop not working as expected.

Trying to anecdotally figure out what % of these machines are having problems ahead of receiving mine next week. Can you post if you've had issues or no issues please folks. (As it's only normal that people having a bad experience will make posts etc, which is totally understandable)

Thanks alot, and I hope any one with affected units get replacements soon.

No issues - 2.7GHz 1TB 460

I'm having very little issues but def having issues..

For example.....

Can you check if the fans are spinning? Try something like smcFanControl.

I have the exact same machine and mine is not warm at all. BUT sometimes after a deep sleep failure
the fans are not spinning at all.

No apparent issues on my new 2.9GHz 512Gb 460, except for the wobbly Touch ID button and the known login oddities when using File Vault. Only got it yesterday though, I've been setting up stuff on it but so far so good.

The OS UI does lag though, when dealing with icon grids (e.g. clicking on the Applications icon, which pops up the folder - it's choppy). Pretty incredible for 2016, but what can I say? OSX.

I haven't yet though pretty sure I've heard them running. Will look into it though. Should not overstate it though. It was not super hot or anything.

Got two machines, also had one go through here because of work. Two of the machines had hardware failures which required replacement of some sort, one didn't (yet).

2.7Ghz, 1TB, 460 - no issues seen in either macOS or Windows under bootcamp so far.

I also have the wobbly Touch ID button, but other than that no major issues (2.9/1TB/460).
