"Perpetuating the cycle" is true iff you imply you're going to reply. So at this point, where I've clearly stated that, it's up to you to "perpetuate" it or not.
Thanks, also, for your psychological insights. Not interesting, but at least the quote feels less empty.

I am implying I am going to reply. And I don't deny it. Let's break it down. I reply to you, You reply to me. We are both perpetuating this cycle.

Fact is, your responses are as much of a "problem" as mine. That is all. No psychological insight here.

You said:

not respond to this very post! ... If you do respond, you are perpetuating the cycle

Need an explanation even for this?
Since you started it, and mine are replies, you are "perpetuating" this loop. Not me with my replies.
You aren't that good at logic, are you?

That's not true because you started it. How's that difficult to understand?

You could easily break the cycle. Don't respond. I am not sure how that is difficult to understand. I'm really not. The fact that you are responding to me doesn't make a bit of difference I am afraid, in terms of "who is at fault", but if it makes you feel better to believe that, that's fine. You see, if you don't respond to this statement, I certainly will not, thus ending the cycle. It seems really REALLY simple. I don't mind continuing. Neither do you, it seems. Hence, both are equal contributors here.

I see, you're not good at logic, which you can see by yourself looking at your way to oversimplify almost everything.
Since you started it, and since mine are all replies to you, the logical end of such a loop requires you to not create new "events", because you created the original one, to which I only replied. Thus, for your better understanding: you are creating new posts to which I reply, not the other way round. Is really that difficult to understand?

Well considering there is a 95% solution out in the wild it has to be close to finished or are you one that feels it is still months away?

They want the next phone, the Razr HD/Fighter to be the first running ICS. So the Razr/Maxx probably won't see it till after thats released. This 4.0.3 build has been out since March 25th, over a month. It works fine, they could had released it already but they haven't.

You can keep attacking what you believe to be my lack of understanding of logic if you wish, but when I am telling you that all it takes is for you to no longer respond to a statement I make to "make the problem go away" it is pretty clear that you are in this as much as I am. You just cannot explain that away. Perhaps you don't have an understanding of the word perpetuate. here it is in a sentence for you.

If you believe that I am the cause of a problem and you feel the need to respond to everything I say, knowing that I am likely to respond to your statements, you are perpetuating the problem.

I don't see a correct usage of the word "problem" there. And perhaps you're confused about the word perpetuate, since you used it (I quoted it) and it doesn't apply here, because you are creating a new cycle, where for cycle here I mean: your post -> my reply. You are creating a new cycle every time you reply, and this creates a loop (your keeping posting).
As a proof, you can check the number of posts between your posts and my replies. Right now, they are equal, say n, but if you reply to this message you'd have n+1 messages, invocating a new cycle which ends every time with a reply of mine.
Mine are replies to your posts. If your posts stop, my replies stop too.

I used the world "problem" to indicate the rudeness that you spoke of in going off topic. You obviously had a problem with it, yet you continued to go off topic in your replies. The easiest way to stay on topic is to not respond to off topic posts. Hence, you perpetuate off topic responses. Furthermore, there is absolutely nothing, outside of your own desire to do so, requiring you to continue this off topic discussion.

I hope that clears up any confusion.

That in no way has something to do with the logic I just expressed.
Since your first post, to which I replied, was itself off topic, and since my posts are (off topic) replies (obviously) to your off topic posts, that doesn't in any way involve I'm "perpetuating" anything. Instead, that involves you're creating more and more off topic posts to which I reply in a consequently off topic way.
It's actually very clear. Check your n+1 posts when/if you post again. ;)
Also, notice I stated it's not fair to go off topic by trying to criticize one's post, and not anything else. This does not relate in any way to you keeping the "loop" alive by creating new cycles every time.

I disagree, but we have basically said the same thing in the last half dozen posts back and forth. There is obviously no reason for me to repeat what I said yet again (you are missing my point, this I know, and perhaps I am missing yours). For the record, I wasn't criticizing your posts. As it turns out, only I know the meaning behind what I say, and I told you before, it wasn't criticism, it was a question. It was fun, and I will let you get the last word in. I know you can't hold back. :p

It's not a matter of taste, but rather of logic as to the "loop" being stopped. You were free to end the "loop" since the second post, but you decided to go on.
Criticism or not, it was off topic, that's what I meant.
Let's see if an equilibrium can exist.

Well I'm not sure, but it's got to be close. Here is a new version that just dropped and requires the latest .181 to install.

I'm really clumsy and can say I've dropped my samsung phone which does have Gorilla Glass more times than I can count. Onto tile, pavement, concrete, etc. The phone is bare, no case, no screen protector and the glass currently only has one small scratch which came from binder clips of all things and I'd be pretty shocked if it shattered at this point.

Having said that, this phone is lighter than the iphon so that could mean less force acting against it every time it is dropped.

Good point. There's a lot to be said for the dense, heavy little brick that is the iPhone 4(S). It makes a break from a fall much more likely. And then, put glass on both sides... lol

It's hard to find a good compromise between feeling high quality vs being durable. You could make a phone out of most nerf but it would feel cheap as crap. I think HTC does a pretty decent job with that compromise.

Seriously. Take this shh to PM or something. You both sound like a couple of bored, lonely housewives.

I am bored at work. I guess you can say lonely as all I have are nurses who are 50 something and obese (oh the irony) to talk to. You missed the spot on being a housewife. Two out of three isn't bad though!

Yep...Everyone says that samsung phones are so light and feels like a toy...i suppose you might be able to treat them as such too....within reason ofcourse.

Well I think i am jumping ship again ...and this time for the the Razr Maxx...I had the Gnex for about 3 months and loved it other than the battery life and missing the iphones ipod features. That and the Gnex's camera was horrid.

The Maxx's battery life on 4g is better the 4s on 3g so thats a win..
The camera on the Maxx is noticeably better than the Gnex so win
Still no ipod..But i am going to sell the 32gb 4s for $500 and buy a cheap ipod for my truck to run off.

Buying the Maxx for $400 off someone and it is truly in mint condition.

Will report back as I always do :)

I have the OG Razr I like it my only complaint is the camera isnt as good as the 4S. Being a very wide android phone I could still use it one handed, although I never handled the Maxx which is a bit thicker.

I would LOVE if apple introduced a smart action feature into iOS 6. It would be nice for my phone to automatically do things when I wanted it too.

I think this is what apple is going to tout as the main feature of ios 6...They are going to say it is magical and they were able to retain the thin form factor of previous iphones because of this.

The way I think they are going to do it? I think they are going to make something that detects what you are doing and will somehow come up with a way that the iPhone will be able to switch between 3g and 4g extremely fast so it is not even noticeable...

-If you open Youtube...phone switches to 4g

-If you open your SMS app and then hit the camera icon or select a pic it will switch to 4g while you are in that process.

stuff like that you know...only have 4g on when you need it.

Back to the maxx...what sucks is if the battery life is truly that good then it will somewhat ruin all other future phones for me unless all others follow suit.

I tried the Maxx for a week and went back to my iphone. It just plain works.

My biggest complaints about the Maxx were poor screen visibility outside, totally crappy speakerphone, and it's size. It was just a little too big for me one hand it, even though I have pretty big hands. It was a bit glitchy too. iOS is just so much more solid than the Android. Also, because the resolution is less than the iphone, I couldnt really read it any better, even with a bigger screen.

There were a few things I liked, but in the end I went back to the iphone. :apple:

Edit: I forgot about the crappy cell signal. In Phoenix metro area on 4G it was fast, but driving across the desert to Cali I could hardly make a call. With the iphone I never lose signal out there.

dunno...i compared the two in store and they both looked fine to me. Everything was easier to read on the Maxx probably because of the size. The ppi on the 4s is 326 and 266 on the Maxx, hardly a huge difference especially when looking at the screens at normal viewing lenghts.

Speaker phone i rarely use and the maxx did not seem big at all to me in my hand.

Owning both the OG Razr and 4S the screen is clearer on the 4S. And a bit easier to see in direct sunlight however I don't consider either all that great at that.

While the 4S is clearer I find the Razr easier to read just cause of the extra real estate. Given the option I'd take a lower PPI with larger screen. If apple increases the screen size with the next iPhone by losing PPI I wouldn't mind.
