So there is no verdict on what's good or not? Everyone seems like they charge every night

I typically charge over every night, but I just got my 6 Plus and did one drain to 0% (cycled back to 100%)

So, I had my phone on from 10am SUNDAY all the way until 10pm TUESDAY and still had about 6% remaining. Just wanted to see what kind of battery life I could sustain with regular (not heavy) use.

On Sunday night, I had over 65% remaining so I didn't bother to charge over night. Not sure how I'll handle this moving forward though.

I used to plug my 4S into the charger every night for 3 years.

So far with the 6 I plug it into my 2A car charger on my 45 minute drive to and from work, listening to iHeart and have had no need to charge it overnight.

My 6 has been lasting me 2 days with moderate use. I'm usually around 45-60% on night one and 5-20 night two. Charge overnight and repeat.

It doesn't matter. The charge cycles matter and 1 cycle = 100% charge aggregate.

i.e.

You charge from 50% to 100% tonight, that is .5 cycles
You charge from 50% to 100% tomorrow night, that is another .5 cycles
You charge from 10% to 80% the next night, that is another .7 cycles

Now you have 1.7 cycles done on the battery. Not 3.

The more cycles the more wear on the battery. But as you can see, many small charges won't matter. You don't need to do big charges. You don't need to do full charges.

I've never paid any attention to when I charge my phone. I plug it in when I have a plug handy. I have always had great battery life, across my 4S, iPad mini, 5, 5S, iPad Air and I expect it on my 6.

I have never understood why people want to over think charging. To me, it's very simple: Charge it overnight and then top it up during the day if it needs it :)

For the first time ever..I have an iphone with decent battery life. (6plus) I was lucky if I got 6 hours of usage from my old 5.

I charged the phone fully overnight on Monday...right now it is sitting at 50% with 7:30 minutes usage and 1 day, 2 hrs standby.

It is a restore from my iphone5, so all the location sharing, app refresh, notifications enabled.

amazing battery? you mean people that haven't used it all day or dont use energy consuming apps (i.e. location services)

thats basically it bro.

Charge it every night and unplug it in the morning. Nothing special.

+1

Also, do the following:

Turn off Wi-Fi during the day (when not connected of course)
Turn off Bluetooth during the day (if you have no devices or car)
Turn off Background App Refresh for non-essential apps
Turn off Location Services for non-essential apps
Turn off any Maps or GPS running behind other apps
Turn off Stocks or unnecessary apps in Control Center
Turn off Motion on wallpapers
Shut down any Games running behind other apps
Turn down the Brightness to 30%
Turn Auto Lock to 1 minute

Those are the main drains on battery life that most people don't realize. Can't tell you how many people leave wi-fi and Bluetooth on 24/7 who don't own a car and don't use wi-fi. Can't tell you how many times my daughter runs three versions of the Sims and leaves them running in the background on my wife's iPhone.

Myself, I put wi-fi on in the house in the morning and evening only. I leave Bluetooth on all the time for my car. I do the rest of what I recommend above. At the end of the day I have 25% battery life when I hit the pillow and plug back into the lightning cable for my daily overnight charge.
