Yes.

Mine will be ordered via the Apple website and I'm hoping for a 5.5".

I'm also hoping that 32 gig will be replace the 16 gig and be the base level, in which case I'll go for a 64 gig.

If they follow suit colour wise, I'll be going white/silver again.

Is this a joke? Please tell me it is!

You can be bothered by the small screen, but that doesn't mean you have to go and buy an Android device.

It is a known fact that in real world use, ie opening apps/navigating the menus/web browsing, the 5S is no faster than the i5.

As for not buying an Android device, who in their right mind would purchase the 5S if they hated small screens and wanted a big one? Please don't tell me 'because it synchs so well with my Mac' and 'My mom uses iMessage'?

I'll be upgrading to an 6. I got the 5s on launch day and had to get space grey because they had no golds. By the time they got gold for my carrier it was way too late to return mine. So I'm hoping to get the gold. I've also been waiting for a bigger screen size. Wanted it for awhile but I love IOS and it was not worth getting an android for. Now that Apple will be offering a bigger screen I will definitely be getting it. Just crossing my fingers that preorders will be offered. Don't want to wait in line all night but I will if that's the only way to get one on launch day

iphone 6

I will give my spotless 5s to my wife, and get the 5.5" 6. She doesn't like spending money on new iphone's or iPads, but likes getting mine when I upgrade.
I keep my gear spotless so its just like getting a new phone for her.

Did you read his post at all? He's talking about internet speeds... He is measuring overall performance by measuring internet speeds...

And bothered =/ hate. I'm bothered by the small screen of the 5S, but it wasn't a thing that kept me from upgrading. Please read posts more carefully.

Well you can't expect no reaction when you call everyone who would opt to upgrade nuts and lacking sense. Nothing wrong with keeping your 5S til it breaks though. If you kept a flip phone and waited to upgrade ten years from now it'd be a bigger jump and you'd get even more "worth" for your money. :D

Well, I did expect a reaction, but I didnt expect all of the iPhone 6 buyers to freak out!! Lol! I mean, come on! IT DOESN'T EXIST YET AND YOU'RE DEFENDING IT!!! Lol!! Maybe they are nuts defending a product that they don't even know that they will like? Maybe not "nuts" but it sure is blind. Lol

Can everyone leave me alone now? Ive apologized. Can the attack of the iP6 (a product that doesnt even exsist to us yet) buyers stop? Lol.

BTW, just as a side note, anyone on this thread that said anything about NOT upgrading has gotten rude comments. Wow, it really is the attack of the iP6 buyers

Yeah, I read his post. He was saying that he didn't determine any real difference in speed. Reviewers haven't either. Some sites the 5S loaded quicker, and there were others the 5 loaded quicker. Overall there was no difference noted when browsing, opening apps, navigating the menus or doing any 'real world' tasks. Sure in benchmarks the 5S came first but how many people would notice as they went about their daily business? The 5S gives you a slightly better camera, slightly better battery life, and Touch ID. Otherwise the vast majority of people would notice zero difference.

Unless wealthy, nobody needs a new premium smartphone every 12 months. Those who own a 5S were obviously not bothered about the tiny screen at the time, otherwise they would have bought an Android device. So I cannot see many 5S owners upgrading until the 6S comes around.

Because they want one?

Who cares?

I have owned every model of iPhone since the original. I bought all but one of them on launch day.

I like new gadgets. It's a ME thing. And I'm not alone.

I don't think you understand, he's comparing wifi speeds. I'm not arguing that there's a big difference in performance between the 5 and the 5S, but he came to this conclusion by maybe using an app like speed test... It's like comparing speed tests from an iPod touch 3g and the 5S and saying that there's almost no difference in overall device performance because they both achieved the same internet speeds.

That's fine, I merely said that nobody needs to do that...and most can't afford to do that.
You say that you like gadgets and yet you buy a hot-rodded version of the exact same one every 12 months. That would bore me. Buying the top Android handset, and then the new iPhone the year after would make more sense on the 'gadget' front because at least they would be very different. It's your money though.

My wife already sold her 5S so yes she will be getting iPhone 6 when it comes out. She really hates using our spare iPhone 4 in the meanwhile.

Surprisingly, the CPU does appear to be a bottleneck for internet on earlier models. Either that or the wifi chip used. I don't have an iPod Touch 3g but my iPod Touch 4g and iPhone 4 are definitely slower than the iPhone 5/5s on wifi.

They're all different. I don't need radical changes every year and I'm entrenched in Mac. What purpose would using an Android phone serve?

I buy all sorts of gadgets. Eh. Nobody NEEDS to buy most any non necessity item, but people do it all the time.

i am very happy with my iPhone 5s its work really great so no any plan for 6, but waiting ios 8.

Depends on those antenna-breaks.

However, 32GB as base storage might just tempt me a bit.. Oh, and of course the 4.7" display.

I'm sure the keynote will make me feel otherwise...

But I'm sticking with the 5s. The phone is flawless.

When the 6s is released... that will be a different story - I think the 's' generation is where one should look. The anodizing fix alone (slate to 'space gray') and addition of 'gold' was awesome; not to mention touch ID and A7/M7 and a much-improved battery. To anyone who looks under the hood, the 5s made the 5 look shabby, even though it was in the same chassis.

Although I'll wait for the details, I'll probably go for the iPhone 6 simply for the larger screen. I'm hoping that the 5.5" model is real and will be released within the near future.

I have fairly large hands and find typing on the iPhone screen to be a bit challenging at times, especially when I'm rushing.

I used to joke with a friend that if my iPad Mini could make calls, I'd happily use that as a phone. :)

Curious to see what comes of it, but I'm waiting for the 6S. I'm more interested in iOS 8. Don't have the funds for a new iPhone budgeted, and I prefer the S cycle.

I'll have to wait and see if Apple still insists on having such huge top and bottom bezels. If they quit concentrating so much on making the thing so THIN and look at how damn tall the things are, they'd be much better off.

Exactly. These things are getting so thin now that it is actually detrimental. They bend easier and they're more difficult to pick up off a flat surface. Overall size and footprint is of much more importance with these bigger screens than the depth is!
