Has your 6+ taken over your iPad's job? Do you no longer use your iPad because of the screen size on the + or do you still use it just as much?

Since I bought a 6+, my iPad mini has been relegated to YouTube and Netflix duty for my kids.

Just a question out of curiosity as I am on the fence to select between 6s and 6s+. I too have an iPad Air and I mostly never touch any of my phones when I am home as I am normally either on my iPad or MacBook.

What made you choose the 6s+ over the 6s ? I am basically asking this as 1) it's more pricy, 2) ergonimally inferior to the 6s, 3) is not replacing your iPad/laptop work, 4) camera and resolution aren't a deal breaker, .. So at the end of day, you could have lived with the 6s too for the smartphone related uses and avoided the above 4 mentioned shortcomings..

Your replies could help me decide for myself..

I still use both devices equally. Use the iPad for watching videos and reading over presentations. 6+ for phone functions.

I have a 6s Plus and an iPad Air 2 and the 6s Plus gets the majority of use at work, on the go, and even at times sitting on the couch or in bed at home I will grab the 6s Plus if I am looking something up quick, but if it is something I am doing a lot of reading or browsing I will grab the iPad. I mainly bought the iPad to use at work with an app we have implemented into the sales process at my job. I wouldn't say that the 6s Plus replaced the iPad, but it does take a fair share of the usage.

Have both and would say that while some of my usage has shifted towards the Plus when I def would have gotten out the iPad over the 5S, the Plus will never replace my iPad. Videos, games, browsing, magazines, some reading, etc will always be better on my iPad.

I had an iPad mini when I got my 6+ last year and my mini started collecting dust. Now though I have and iPad Air 2 and a 6S Plus. I use my iPad a lot and my iPhone is there if I need it. They both have their times to shine and I wouldn't part with either one of them.

It has for me. I've never been a huge iPad user to begin with, though. I prefer to keep everything in one place and confine all mobile tasks to one device. The + devices are absolutely big enough to do nearly anything you'd want to, it's just a matter of getting used to doing so.

My iPad rarely leaves my home. Still love it. My iPad basically replaced my laptop. Can't imagine not having both 6+ and iPad. I don't see any reason to own an iPadMini and a 6+ though.

Nope. I'm still rocking an iPad 2 and won't give up an iPad any time soon. Yes, the + is fantastic and I don't see myself going back to a smaller screen size ever, but I also use the iPad. I have a clam case and my iPad is a very portable mini-laptop. I run Keynote presentations on the iPad and use the big screen size of the + to use as the remote. The screen is big enough to see the presenter notes quite clearly. There are times when typing a longer email or document is just that much easier and more manageable on an iPad. I say they complement each other nicely instead of trying to replace one or the other.

I don't get how the plus could ever replace the iPad. Web browsing is fine on the go but at home? All internet I use is on the iPad and MacBook. I still true my air 2 on the go at times just in case. I use my plus, air and MacBook equally

Not at all. Typically, when I'm on the couch watching TV, I'm texting on my 6s+ and web surfing or whatever on my iPad Air 2. I use both all the time.

No. The Plus doesn't have iPad apps. Most are still blown up apps that don't take advantage of the larger screen like iPad apps do.

Still using the iPad Air 2 daily and have a 6S+ (came from a 6+). Its true I don't use my phone as much as I used to but that's because I also have an Apple Watch which keeps the phone out of my hands most of the day. When I'm on the go and don't have my iPad with me I use my phone and enjoy the larger display. Its no bother most of the time to have a large phone. The phone has it's place but its not a replacement for an iPad yet. It can do many of the same things but again, bigger display is better for me. iPad Pro is even a possibility in the future for the additional screen space.

When I'm home I always use my iPad. The bigger screen is always welcome and I find it more enjoyable to use. When I'm out and don't have my iPad (or home and iPad needs charged) I enjoy using the plus size phone.

I live on my 6S+. If people are glued to their tablets at every available opportunity then I don't see the point of buying a phablet. Sure it might not replace a tablet in all circumstances if you already own one but I certainly wouldn't rush out to buy an iPad if you already have a phablet.

Coming from a 6, I had no problem springing for the 6S Plus and haven't regretted a single second with it. Best phone I've ever owned and I've had every model of iPhone since the 3G.

My iPad Air 2 w/ Wifi only is used for school, eBooks (tons of them), full-screen productivity apps (iWorks, Codec, Evernote), and media/games that look better on an even bigger screen. There are plenty of them out there.

I would never trade off my Plus for my iPad because each gadget has its use and functionality. JMO.

I only have a 6s and its taken a lot of time away from the ipad 4th gen. but that also may be because ios9 made my ipad run like doo doo. once I fix that I imagine I'd start using it again. When I had a g3(same size as the plus) I used which ever had battery lol.

I disagree. The 6 Plus and 6S Plus are not big enough for all uses and it's not a matter of getting use as you shouldn't have to. Some uses are better done on an iPad. My 6S Plus is mainly for use at work and on the go. At home I use either my iPad Air 2 or my MacBook Pro.
