Nope, phones fine. Not trying anything. Thanks though. I will just enjoy my phone.

Post of the week .. at least to me. haha. People.. ENJOY YOUR PHONE!

This is not the place to get credible information anyway..

John Smith makes a post: "My iPhone's screen just broke today. I didn't even touch it"
OR what really happened...
"I got mad and threw it against a brick wall over and over and the screen broke"

Mine still showed 4 bars... AND I HAVE A CASE ON...

This. Now I don't have to post a screen shot! Can't anyway since I'm in vermont where the edge speed is so slow that it isn't worth doing the pre-post test.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to try my test. Makes me think that it is true that not everyone has this problem -- but for sure zero data transmission is a problem!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

No issue here either.

Seems to be a bit of a diff...top 3 are holding it in my hand. But notice the 3rd down....took a long time to run and when it did the peak speed actually jumped up?!

Interesting that you said hold it lightly. The last test I was holding it firmly. Seems holding it firmly improves the data speeds?!

Why doesn't this have an effect on upload speed?

Below are my speed test results from my office, where I get good reception. The first test is me holding the phone "correctly". As soon as it finished I ran the second test, only this time holding the phone "incorrectly" in my left hand, with my palm covering the lower left hand corner. The third test was run immediately after the second, with no changes. As you can see, I rapidly lost signal. But what I don't understand is, why isn't the upload speed effected at all? This does not make sense to me, as they share the same antenna, correct?

5 bars at home will drop to 4 after I hold it left handed for about 2 minutes.

data speed averages the same

3 bars at work will drop to 2 after I hold it left handed for about 2 minutes

data speed averages the same
