I know that. I just did some calculation:
Current iPhone 7 (with 4.7" screen) has body dimension of 5.44" x 2.64" = surface area of 14.36". It's screen-to-body ratio is 65.71%.
Samsung Galaxy S8 (with 5.8" screen) is 5.86" x 2.68" = 15.70" surface area. It's screen-to-body ratio is 84.26%.
Fitting a 5.8" screen into current iPhone 7 body dimension will need screen-to-body ratio of 92.12%. Can Apple achieve that? If they can, are they willing to produce it?

I think you misunderstood me. I was quoting PortableLover's desire to shrink the body of iPhone smaller while keeping the screen at the current 4.7" size. So that means Apple will have to get rid of the physical Home button and utilise a virtual Home button, similar to S8, at the bottom portion of the screen. So if the virtual Home button is going to take up a bottom portion of the 4.7" screen, that will only leaves like 4.0 to 4.2" usable screen right?
