Kind of reminds me of a roommate I had in college, back in the days before wireless internet existed. He decided he could type faster than he could write. When exams rolled around, out the door he went, with his laptop over his shoulder, and his printer tucked under his arm.

Maybe go with a Mac Pro along with an Indigo press, 7.1 surround speaker, and 4 30-inch panels?

Sounds like the iLugger case for the 24" that I hope I never have to use. (Neat though)

Was it 24"? I would say that the problem with iMac (24") is weight. I carried it once to the mall to fix it, I had to take a cart, because it was hard to handle such big box (Apple store is quite far from the entrance). Might be 17" inch is not too bad, with wireless mouse and keyboard. I would see myself taking it to let's say a hotel (if I had to stay a week or so), but not to panera! iMac is based on laptop. It has laptop memory, video card and even thickness is quite similar (you have to look at iMac as closed lid laptop).

iLugger

I know that iLuggers have backpack straps, but seriously, that awesome. I've seen a bunch of people in the Apple store with iLuggers but I can't say I've ever seen it anywhere else!
