Unlock-able after restoring this way?

Sweet. That's what I figured just wanted to make sure. So I did this today going shsh way n staying apple 3.1.2.
Rejailbreak with redsnow and I already know for sure it was good idea. My battery is working WAY better

Restoring this way, does it update your Modem Firmware so that the phone can no longer be unlocked? I don't need the unlock as I'm with AT&T, but I would like to keep the option to hopefully increase resale value when the new model comes out this summer.

Do you mean restoring using SHSH method? What firmware are u at right now?

Modem Firmware wont be upgraded as long as you dont do a stock update through iTunes.

OK, thanks. With that in mind, should i go with Blackrain or another app to jailbreak my phone? I am currently running 3.1.2 unjailbroken, but I would really like to get back into the jailbreak world. I used Blackrain last time and it was extremely simple with my 3Gs.

Do you have the new bootrom (tethered) or old bootrom?

yes, i believe i mean the shsh method that was being discussed at the beginning of this thread. I am planning on jailbreaking my 3Gs running 3.1.2 with the old bootrom (untethered) with Modem Firmware 05.11.07. I just wanted to make sure that i can restore it and still be able to unlock it in the future in case i ever decide to sell it.

Yes, as long as you have your SHSH's for the particular firmware version you want to restore it to you will be able to downgrade, restore to and rejailbreak.
Make sure you know what basebands can be unlocked and not to update to official firmware with a baseband that cannot be unlocked.
