On vacation this past June, went to the Crayola Factory @ Two Rivers Landing with the kids, http://www.crayola.com/factory/

I like the crayons in the first image. The colors certainly convey the richness of what is in the box. I think the paper between the sets of windows and the table are distractors (over which you had no control). I'd like to see something that incorporates the windows and the tubs of color.

The second image is great. I like everything about it.

Thx, 2nd is my fav of that series for artistic viewpoint.
1st, I took a few and realized needed to be at dead center of the crayons for them to appear straight, so I asked one of the Crayola people if it was ok for me to stand on a table and take some pictures, she said "go for it".
Yea, no time for me to arrange the shot for less clutter, that would add to the picture focus immensely.
fwiw - picures from the factory store after the tour;
color pallet shot - tried here but nothing special....my kids by worlds largest crayon, 1/6 sec hand held in store..........wood box sorta has potential possibly

Great job. For some reason it seems that yellow is a hard color to get a lot of detail in. At least for me, I seem to wash yellow out a lot. These all look great though. I think #4 probably needs a wider DOF so the petals can be in focus as well.

Good job framing an interesting shape. The colors are nice as well. A friend of mine just moved to Rotterdam.

Thanks. When I moved to Rotterdam I lived in a hostel in this building for a week so I had lots of time to look for shots of it. Pretty much anything you take will look interesting! Rotterdam is a really nice place (I was only there 3 months, but I always want to go back). Tell your friend to enjoy the fall... is he/she moving there for good?

It was blazing hot at camp in Indiana this year. The staff repeatedly told the kids to take their water bottles when they left the cabin. Unfortunately, too many of them did not make it back to the cabin.

Where's Nemo's dad (Marlin?) battling the barracuda!! 🙄
Nice colors, it's been a while since I watched "Finding Nemo" with the kids, your shot immediately took me back to those days.

Dale - btw there is always someone older and younger, I'll be 48 in 1 month and am reminded of that by my older peers....

Another shot from the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. Bubbles through tank glass.

Here are some attempts from me. Any CnC is greatly appreciated.

Pepper Pyramid: Lacks focus in front of pyramid

Swan Gourd: Background is messy

A Sad Sunflower: I like this one a lot

Lighthouse: I like the colors in this one.

A bit of green from the grill of a vintage Austin.

Complimentary colors. This could be under the topic creative bokeh, too.
