ya, we ran into traffic-related problems. fixed now

Always happens on MacRumors during a keynote event, particularly the iPhone event. :D

Well, yes, perhaps this is not all that surprising, given the night that it is. However, I have found that the forums have been rather slow tonight, and indeed, still are, to a certain extent. For that matter, it was exceedingly difficult to even gain access to the forums earlier this evening, - which was not a major surprise. Fortunately, the 'traffic-related problems' appear to have eased somewhat…..

Right now it's taking me around 2 minutes to load a page... And I have a ping of less than 20ms and a download speed of 40mbps.

It was really slow earlier, but it seems to be working fine now. Looks like Arn and crew fixed the problem. I could imagine the amount of traffic and hits the site was seeing during the keynote.

I'm finding that posts get duplicated, or stall, or - pressing 'reply' has led to some strange formatting results with the post being replied to embedded in the reply.

Moreover, I have also noticed that sometimes when an alert flashes, it causes the system to stall & freeze temporarily; sometimes, the only way this can be addressed is to leave the forum completely and return.
