Forums taking a while to load this morning.

10:21am PST, Firefox 3.

The front page is ok, but the forums are unusually slow.

Extremely, painfully slow! I've noticed the forums slowing down since the iPhone/MobileMe fiasco. I keep testing other sites to make sure it's not my connection, but everything else works as fast as usual. The good news is, it's usually worth waiting for! :)

Still quite painful.

Yes gets it occasionally.

I think it's caused by ad on the bottom that reads the page contents.

I agree, I've been seeing VERY slow load speeds for reading forum threads and also for posting replies. I would say the problem started sometime last week.

I've experience them being really slow as well and it's not because of ads because I have them blocked. It's taken really long to post and opening up any thread has taken awhile.

70% packet loss means there's a networking problem between you and the server. The servers are running ok.

Whatever it was, it's definitely picked up again over the last five minutes since we started pedalling a little faster.

In the last day or so, some pages won't even load at all.

And all other websites load with their usual speed so it is just MR...

You mean between US and the server? I'm not the only one experiencing problems here. And the MR forums is the only site Ive had problems with today.

I wonder if there is a larger internet problem at work here, or one of the backbones close to MR is acting up?

Seconded. I am experiencing massive slowdown and several pages not loading at all and I haven't changed ANYTHING between the time they worked smoothly and the present.

I'm accessing pages from Forum-Spy if that makes any difference.

It's really slow today, I agree. I find I'll click on a link, it won't load, and I'll have to reload multiple times to get a forum page to load.

Me as well, better now though.

Its taking minutes for me to load some pages.

You sure its not data center related ARN?

It's only the forum acting up. You sure a table index is not corrupt?

I stand corrected.

one of our two forum servers was having some issues. I don't know why.

When I pinged one directly (forum1.xeeno.com), it was fine.
When I pinged the second one (forum2.xeeno.com), it resulted in packetloss.

So depending on which one you were on, you may or may not have seen problems.

I have a ticket open with our provider, but in the meanwhile, I rebooted that server, and seems better.

Sorry... :)
