Right, it was introduced in iOS 7 from the beginning pretty much. Maybe it's a bug, maybe it's a feature, as they say. Without any specific strong evidence one way or another, I guess we can't really say it's one or the other for sure. Just how it is basically.I don't think that is it. It's about a 2 or 3 pixel difference. That isn't a significant increase to justify throwing the entire flow off from lock to unlock. No other iOS version that I am aware of has done this. I maintain that it is a bug.
