" ***PLEASE NOTE*** Phantom Glass will currently cover the maximum surface area of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus BEFORE the curved edge of the screen starts..."

Given this, not sure how they can claim edge-edge protection.

If you read it again you will realize they are currently revising their screen protector to make one that covers the entire front surface...

I think the dry screen protectors are good enough. Just find one that is wider than others. The application needs to be more precise when applying it bc it barely covers all of the black part of the screen. I was able to cover all of the black if you see the zoomed up home button pic. The angle of the shot on the other pic makes it seem like it's not fully covered but it is actually fully covered.

What screen protector is that? Looks to have the best cutouts I've seen so far.

Halo screen protector? http://www.halo-direct.com/apple-sc...e-6-3-pack-lifetime-replacement-warranty.html
However the cutouts are different from your photos.

I find most people's reactions in this thread a bit strange. You might want to think about the shape of the iPhone 6 more before complaining about glass protector sizes and what suppliers are trying to come up with. I bought a Spigen tough armor case and the first tempered glass protector I could find. Some observations:

1. The cover obviously only covers the flat area of the screen, which seems perfectly understandable to me. I put mine on half a mm too high (so now it overhangs a tiny bit), and now air is already coming in under the top, which means dust later on. So an overlapping protector is never going to work.

2. Because the screen curves down on the sides, the case edges are lower than we were used to on older models (i.e. less room between screen and table when you leave the iPhone upside down). The case clamps on to the screen at a lower point, leaving a few mm between the case edge and tempered glass, for me about 3-4mm. I'm guessing this will vary, but only because of the case. The gap area is curved however, so both height and width need to be filled up somehow, but in various sizes to reach the case edge. I'd think that rules out a generic protector.

3. Points 1 and 2 together will make it very hard to come up with a curved glass protection that will fit all cases. I'm guessing it will be a lot harder/more expensive to create perfectly curved glass that will stick to the iPhone, but that will be the ideal solution. But then we're probably talking molding instead of cutting protectors from a sheet. In any case it will mean a higher price for protectors.

I don't think overlapping protectors are going to work since you need to know how much space there will be from where the curve starts to the edge of the case. For now I'm going to live with the 3-4mm gap and see what people are going to come up with.

I'm kinda thinking about just not having a screen protector.... Idk. Am I crazy?

I went 2 year without any protection, but just the other day I dropped my phone on concrete & it shattered the glass. I don't care about minor surface blemishes on the back, I don't sell my old phones. Out of the 4 iphones I've owned only dropped twice on concrete to shatter the glass. I still say I'm low risk user, with applecare+ even lowers my concern about protection.

I mentioned on the other thread that some cases will work (i-Blason clear hybrid is being used by my boss at the moment), but we don't recommend bulky cases like Otterbox.

Yes, I love the concept of your protector but I have a feeling you'll see some compatibility issues with certain cases that use the edge. A few cases that have tight fits will probably fight for edge dominance.

Please check with the Apple cases to make sure they don't have any issues.

Apple cases are not on the supported list of iLoomes protector (said on another thread by @iloomeofficial

I would love to try this on the ballistic tungsten and I have a spigen neo hybrid metal arriving as well. If the loome decides to pick some of us to test these against cases we have and post some reviews, I'd jump on that. Until then, I'll just see what the crowd says.

Ballistic makes glass screen protectors for their cases available as a separate purchase.

I haven't even visited their site. That case was one of the very few at best buy left. I looked at swapping it because it's bulkier than I'm used to and they had none left. I'm actually pleased with the case in all other aspects. I'll check out their stuff tomorrow.

Quick updates guys:

We'll be working on a tempered glass that will work with Apple leather case and silicon case as you guys have expressed desires for a tempered glass screen protector that are compatible with it! It'll take a while, but we'll be sure to let you guys know once it's available.

Thanks for all the input guys!

It seems that the Apple case is extremely popular (I'm a user), but most cases on the market have some sort of "lip" that comes up over the side of the screen for protection when the phone is laid screen side down on a table. I would suspect that the vast majority of iPhone 6/6+ uses use a case of some sort instead of carrying their phones "naked" and running the risk of damaging that soft aluminum body. Having screen protectors that would take into consideration that fact would make your product tons more popular, IMO.

Wow what a great response! Please let us know once it is available so we can spread the word :)

These already exists. Case-optimized screen protectors, AKA screen protectors that do not cover edge to edge.

Is there a reason why the border is either black or white?

From another thread, this looks promising:

Colored just like the iVisor Glass, which I don't mind as opposed to iLoome's colored border. On the iLoome, the border is still very visible.
