It's honestly badass to think a phone made it that far lol

It is really quite common. Locked phones end up outside the country for parts or reuse.

As far as getting into locked phone, I think the cat is out of the bag. If our government got the information to do it from Israel, you can bet many more have it now as we are not very good at keeping secrets.

I flew helicopters there in 1965 and got shot at. It is very easy to forget it.
