iPhone-14-Pro-Lineup-Feature-Purple.jpg

Man ... I'm going to have a REALLY hard time deciding on the colour to get:

Matte Black - may work with Watch Nike+ space grey,
Purple - gotta rock that Prince delight it looks sweet,
Blue - that's my colour, and it looks CLEAN - a sweet upgrade to my blue 12 mini.
Will the Nike+ Watch come in Purple or Blue?

Oh ... regarding a rugged Apple Watch, this may be a specific Nike+ version, I mean Nike is all about sports and they're into sports from Running, Basketball, to Football, Rugby, Cycling, etc. So will the Nike+ become this new rugged version and the sports take over the regular Nike+ or ??

I don't need wifi 6E, just wifi 6 with 160mhz support, have a work Android phone which supports it, and it's faster, can utilise full 1 GB internet, it's faster than my Macs.

As long as it has the 48 MPx camera and USB-C I would be happy. The rest is just a bonus.

Wish there was an option to disable screen dimming when overheating. I’d rather it slow down than dim screen.
Need an option when scanning codes in wallet to temporarily disable screen dimming.

I'm not planning to upgrade my 12 mini but satellite emergency texting would be a killer feature for me. Assuming it doesn't have an expensive subscription service like Garmin or Spot.

It’s got to be free or included in the 0.99 iCloud plan

Wish they would finally add automatic wifi switching. I swear to god this feature was present in iOS 1. I don’t understand why it’s not present in iOS 15.

I would very much like a 2TB model

USB 3.0 speeds over lightning would make lightning much less of a joke than it already is

I would like native FLAC support on iPhone however that’s more of an iOS thing than a hardware thing

The ALL NEW iPhone 14 Pro Max, with courageous pill shaped cut-outs, new improved content scanner that will make sure all of your content is Apple approved, the classic lightning port (because USB-C on a phone is meh, "think different"), blazing fast A16 Bionic, no simultaenous audio/video streams nor improved multi-tasking (but you have all the processing power for it, should we enable this one day!), no landscape mode on home screen, no option to use face id WITH touch id and/or pass code, no touch id, no under display fingerprint reader or cameras, no real file system. Pre-order yours and it will ship out in October! We're only increasing the price by $100, which is a bargain considering rising cost of materials and 3rd world labor.

What about reversible charging on the iPhone for AirPods?

I remember last year it was rumored to be in the iPhone 13 line, and I think some people claimed that technically the iPhone 13 was capable of it, but it was held back to be used as a feature on the iPhone 14. And now that AirPods 3 and updated AirPods Pro with MagSafe have been out for a while now, it makes sense that you could in theory magnetically snap the AirPods onto an iPhone laying face down and it would charge them up. I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about that this year since it seems like a no-brainer addition, especially if it was artificially held back?

Tim should just change his yearly utterance of “this is the best iPhone ever” to “this is the most boring iPhone upgrade ever.” Both would be true statements.

The tech is there and is already implemented since you can use reverse charging to charge a MagSafe battery pack by attaching it to your iPhone and plugging the iPhone into a power source. Apple just isn't allowing it for anything else.

not enough info:
where was this occuring, public wifi or any outage for that area by carrier?

SOS is nothing new for mobile carriers btw.
Not on Wi-Fi or within range of a trusted network. No service for my mobile carrier. I hadn’t ever noticed it before the iOS 16 beta. There’s a chance I may have missed it before, but that’s unlikely.

As mentioned, it has always been standard. If your operator doesn't have a signal you will use any other available network for emergency calls.

Edit: It is the same reason you can make emergency calls without a SIM-card. It also works for emergency calls on for example Apple Watches (cellular versions) even if they don't have an eSIM.
