Not much point in a 2TB iPhone until USB-C. Just look at what Apple themselves said about how magical and revolutionary USB-C is on the iPad Mini.

We’ve already heard from people who took Apple up on their challenge of using the iPhone 13 Pro as a video camera, and how long it takes to export all that data over USB 2 Lightning.

Also kudos to whoever made the graphics for this article.

Wish there was an option to disable screen dimming when overheating. I’d rather it slow down than dim screen.
Need an option when scanning codes in wallet to temporarily disable screen dimming.

Agreed, I can’t stand how fast my 13 Pro screen dims outside. Really hoping they’ve improved cooling so we can run it brighter for longer.

This 1000%. I made the mistake recently of downloading music offline and updating apps at the same time while in line to board the plane. My 13PM got too warm, dimmed the screen to the point the scanner wouldn't read my boarding pass when I had the screen at max brightness. Unnecessary anxiety. If that happened at the TSA checkpoint they wouldn't have let me through. I remembered after the fact that the boarding pass is also on my watch which I've never seen anyone use.

the 48mp, AOD are the main things I'm looking forward to. about time iPhones had pixel binning with a big sensor.

You are talking about regular Starlink. Good luck connecting to that with your mobile phone though.
Right, but the satellites they mentioned have already been launched and are in orbit. They can’t just “add bands” to them, they’re going to use the existing technology. Unless this is Starlink committing to launching tens of thousands more satellites than they already have just for this deal with T-Mobile which sounds highly unlikely.

As mentioned, it has always been standard. If your operator doesn't have a signal you will use any other available network for emergency calls.

Edit: It is the same reason you can make emergency calls without a SIM-card. It also works for emergency calls on for example Apple Watches (cellular versions) even if they don't have an eSIM.
That makes sense. Interesting. But the SOS doesn’t seem to stick, it is on briefly and then within a minute or so it’ll switch to just plain “no service”. I know other providers have service where that happens (it’s inside a building and T-Mobile has problems penetrating metal buildings sometimes). Any idea why that happens and the SOS signal doesn’t stay permanently?

So far from what I’ve read the iPhone14 series would be categorized as “” new and improved “”. as opposed to “”must have”

As someone who doesn’t care about cameras the only thing that would get me to upgrade from the 13 Pro series is a weight reduction which I doubt they’ll do anytime soon. I may try the new regular max version but I enjoy the ProMotion.

What about more RAM. 6 GB is cool but 8 GB would be better.

Why stop there? Why not 10? Or 12... Or 16? Or 32?

USB-C would be nice, so that I can use the same cable on my iPad and MacBook Pro.

It's just a cable. Use what they provide and be done with it.

There is nothing we know, only what we think we know. The leakers have prove themselves to be so unreliable, that nothing would surprise me.

Oh, don't criticize them. They'll delete your comment. Ask me how I know.. lol.

Come on let's not be ridiculous. There is the law of diminishing returns, and there is some sweetspot value for RAM, beyond which doesn't net a better experience. However, with only 6 GB, I don't think we've reached diminishing returns. With 6 GB, I still sometimes have issues with RAM management where programs in the background are flushed to conserve RAM, and as such they're refreshed/reloaded when I pull them up. However, on the iPad Pro with 8 GB, I don't have the same problem with the same apps... so I think 8 GB (at least) is a good place for the iPhone Pro to be.... possibly 10 GB might be where we start to see diminishing returns...

Exactly they will be on iPhone 340 with 1.5T nits, and the screen will still totally dim in the sun.

I just posted in another line this morning that it had occurred to me "Far Out" is alluding to satellite connectivity. I'm 99% sure that is coming, but not really a "wow" feature, but I could appreciate it as the first time I was up Imogene pass in my Jeep I lost connectivity and had no other radio and when I went to look at trail map I had pulled up I hit "back" on Safari and my map was gone. There I sat at the top freaking the efff out. The comfort of communication would have been nice. I was a newbie flatlander and it was quite an adventure.
