Apple today provided the fourth beta of an upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.5 update to developers for testing purposes, with the update coming a week after the third beta.

Developers can download the macOS Tahoe 26.5 update by opening up the System Settings app, selecting the General category, and then choosing Software Update. Beta Updates will need to be enabled, and a free developer account is required.

No new features were found in the first three macOS Tahoe 26.5 betas, and it's likely the update primarily focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements.

Update 1:05 pm: The update is now also available to public beta testers.

I hope somebody is working on Finder

I swear there are memory leaks in Tahoe Finder.
Unfortunately, I think Apple's dedicating too much time to pushing out new shiny features in general, and not enough time in fixing bugs. macOS 15.7.5 is having so many issues with Bluetooth, audio, Safari, and overall performance, that I'm going to have to wipe and downgrade to 15.4 if they don't have it resolved in the next month.

Why, when Apple releases a new OS, do they need to fix things that were already working fine?

For example, if Bluetooth issues were fixed in macOS Sequoia, why are they broken again in macOS Tahoe?

You get my point? it feels like releasing a new OS is like breaking everything that was already fixed. I don’t get it.

Good question! I've noticed 26.4.1 will cause the Bluetooth connection with my keyboard to drop when I put it to sleep but it doesn't happen all the time..I have to manually connect it during boot up as well.

and the bluetooth is just and example, there's many things that already working, just need be more solid but on the new OS are broken. I don't get it, is like build software to later destroyed again and start again.

This fourth beta successfully finishes a full calibration of the studio XDR (calibrate Plus HL) but then it says the display needs to be updated as well to be able to apply the settings that are stored on the display. And no beta for the display so fingers crossed the RC will follow soon.

Can anyone confirm if network extensions (AdGuard, etc) aren’t broken? The last beta seemed to have broken them.
I've been using AdGuard for over a year, and it's never broken for me through all the developer betas, including the 26.4 and 26.5 betas (I'm currently on beta 3, since the latest beta 4 isn't yet showing up for me in Software Update).
