Fourth macOS Tahoe 26.5 Beta Now Available for Developers

Network is now brutally slow for me, at least with Apple's apps. Never had issues with beta 3.

Somehow no problems on 2.4ghz wifi. I guess that's where to dig, tried all kinds of things before connecting to that and nothing helped. Definitely not my home network though, iPhones work fine on 5ghz.

Another edit: turning bluetooth off and on again brought 5ghz back to normal. What a mess.

Same here! I went back from 26.4 to Sequoia just last week.

My personal experience. The one of the betas of the 27 MacOS bricked my Neo 512. Had to do a complete erase the disk and restore OS from the web.

I cant believe they are sticking with an all white interface, its blinding and unless you have apple monitors the contrast of ui elements is low. The OS already looked better in its past when improvements were for usability and not hey I like glass lets put that everywhere.

Why not use Dark Appearance/High Contrast/Reduce Transparency? Way more visually ergonomic that way in my experience

I don’t understand why people use AdGuard. I use AdGuard’s DNS profile while having uBlock Origin as an extension on both Safari and Brave. UBlock is better and open-source and I recommend it.

I too did a clean install of Sequoia this weekend after Tahoe bugs. Now, everything is working the way it's supposed to. Was having issues with bluetooth, multiple users login, tool bar issues, docking wouldn't show up on display...

Unfortunately, I think Apple's dedicating too much time to pushing out new shiny features in general, and not enough time in fixing bugs. macOS 15.7.5 is having so many issues with Bluetooth, audio, Safari, and overall performance, that I'm going to have to wipe and downgrade to 15.4 if they don't have it resolved in the next month.

Finder seems to be fixed with the beta, but...now FCP now crawls to render and export. Using MacBook Pro 16" 2021.

have to go back to macOS Sequoia...AGAIN.

This is the first time in my long Mac usage over the years that by v.5 of the OS..STILL have bugs and issues enough that I have to downgrade.

My hope is Mac OS 27...

I wouldn't use it either. I have Wipr, uBlock and NextDNS to block crap on every device, no matter where I am.

Just to clarify. Are you able, for instance, to chose any folder containing your own pictures and using them as backgrounds (just like we did on previous mac versions)? Are you on an M3 or Intel?
