Perhaps US' democratic government should also answer, why airplanes from China not blocked for landing after Wuhan was locked-down.

Right, the virus that flew-in from China. One news article stated, after Wuhan was locked-down, flights from China continued for 1 week.

This is why Apple has to build stuff in China. Can you imagine trying to get a bunch of Americans in their 20’s to follow all those rules and let themselves be tracked all day and night to make sure they do? Maybe just that percentage that enlists in military service would have the needed discipline.
Not to mention there isn’t close to enough skilled manufacturing labor in America. It’s not even an option.

When Wuhan was locked-down, people are not even allowed to go out from home in Wuhan. Visitors were not allowed to go back either. China’s map is big. When Italy was locked down, other European countries still allowed to fly out. Also Australia government ordered a flight to bring Australian residents back home on the Christmas Island for quarantine. Possible other countries did that too.

China's government locked-down the Wuhan area, a very serious move to contain a virus. Why were flights from China allowed for another week to fly all over the world?

I would guess you don't actually know what the state of "skilled labour" is in the US. There are many hi-tech companies in North America.

Oh, my.

Why don’t we just plug the data probe into their headjacks to keep these batteries in the pods in the power plant?

...seems like a slightly more efficient way to enslave a people.

Chest x-rays when required! That's scary! We want to make sure you can keep on working, our factories must not stop, but if you die of cancer at some point, too bad.

If you have been exposed to tuberculosis before and have antibodies, or have been vaccinated against it, for the rest of your life anytime somebody wants proof of TB status, you must get a chest x-ray.

That is, when you enroll in school, go to summer camp, go to college, get a job at a school, volunteer at a school, work at a hospital or medical facility, volunteer at a hospital, join the armed forces, etc.

This is in the United States.

What you're saying is not anything out of the ordinary nor unethical.

Perhaps China's communist government can answer one question, why airplanes continued to fly out of China after Wuhan was locked-down.
Yeah, indeed it's always communist's fault, haha.
Perhaps I can ask one question, why doesn't NYC even have a lock-down (sooner) like Wuhan?
If airplanes are banned by the Chinese government, you guys will also whine about authoritarianism, am I right? "Limiting people's freedom to travel outside so they can be put in concentration camps to die without treatment."
Calm down, this is about Foxconn's measure to stop the second outbreak, be happy when measures like this are put out so people won't die.

Honestly just reading about the conditions there has me considering cancellation of my iPad order.

Is your tin hat interfering with your face mask?
Dude, please, just stop blabbing nonsense.
Given your post record in this thread, doubling down on the same nonsense, it must be extremely hard.
For your sake, give it a try.

"Coronavirus Updates: Studies Show N.Y. Outbreak Originated in Europe"

"Cafeteria seats even have QR codes that workers CAN scan so Foxconn has a record of who sat where and when"

Yes, they CAN, but if they don't...

You have to scan for your lunch order to be delivered to your table.

That sounds like modern slavery in a Gilead society to me.

Its like the Chinese government got the perfect excuse to control their citizens even more now

Because they were interested in the welfare of their own people and are not those of other nations. If other nations wanted to prevent the flights, they easily could have after learning about the lockdown. Many countries that implemented travel restrictions from China early on like Singapore and UAE had only minor and manageable outbreaks.

I’d start with closing down the wet markets, not reopening them (insane).

Do you realize "wet markets" simply mean a market selling fresh vegetables and meats, as opposed to dry markets that sells non-perishable goods? This includes normal delis and fish markets (which are the vast majority). Not to mention that it's still inconclusive whether coronavirus came directly from bats or through another animal, if at all. I know things are tense because of the virus, but sweeping comments like these help with nothing.

Apple, How about stop making stuff in China? The “savings” aren’t worth it.
Because if Apple stops, that doesn't mean competitors won't. Apple would be at even more of a price disadvantage. This also assumes the infrastructure and supply chain is in the US that one would need, which it isn't. Read https://www.heraldtribune.com/article/LK/20120123/News/605191697/SH. I've seen some other quotes from Steve Jobs or Tim Cook about this before, but am having trouble finding them right now.

Have you seen the a piece on Foxconn's factories where ABC visited back in 2012?
seems to a a full copy. I saw it when it originally aired. Skip to 6:00 to see the HUGE crowd (over 3000 people) lined up outside the plant to try to get a job. There are tens if not hundreds of millions of dirt poor people from rural areas that go to big cities to try to earn more $. At ~3:40, they mention the workers come for the hope of making $2/ hour.

China's population is also over 4x that of the US, BTW.

It would help to just not report that corona virus anymore. The few thousand fatalities will be hidden within the 1,6+ million Chinese citizens who die of air pollution every year, as well as the many millions who die of pneumonia every year. Problem solved.

You do realise these people in China works at the wet market as their only source of income? By closing down it affects their livelihood. I’m all for stringent health checkings at these place but not shutting off the entire thing.

Plus what you eat and what they eat makes not much difference, they are all livestocks. Just because another culture eats differently from you, doesnt mean there wouldn’t be a virus transmission- hello, H1N1 and swine flu and bird flu? Not trying to justify eating bats or what not, but it is a norm practice in many places around the world to eat them, not just China, so I assume you should close ALL wet markets around the world in order to do that.

oohhh nooo. I feel so bad for those people who might lose their job working in the wet market that caused a world wide pandemic where 30 million people in USA alone lost their jobs. OHHH I FEEL SO BAD KEEP IT OPEN
