but his tracking already states delivery attempt made.

I concur that's the thing that pisses me off the most. The fact that he didn't even make the effort to make to come to my door. He probably looked at where I lived, thought it was too time-consuming and just left.

I would have just answered the door wearing whatever. It's a delivery dude, not a date.

I laughed when I read this topic. I was like "Why in the world would you dress up for a delivery guy?" I picture someone standing there with wine and roses while they wait for the UPS guy to bring their iPhone. I at least try to have clothes on, though. There's no guarantee the extremely attractive female driver won't be filling in for the typical guy haha.

I'm praying a CS rep calls me back with a 2nd delivery attempt or pickup same day.
I've done it with FedEx, so it's worth a shot. You may be able to go in around closing time for your hub and then can grab it off the truck. No promises, but I've had it happen with FedEx.

It's funny because UPS shows the message "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt."

I'm thinking, "how can I be available when you never even came to my freakin door!"

ugh...

These threads are so annoying. It's just a phone...

I love posts like these. If I were a mod these people would be on time out or banned.

"It's just a phone. But here I am using my personal time to read a forum dedicated to it."

Unreal.

On topic, I had a FedEx guy pull that crap on me one time. Pulled up in front of my house, sat there for less than a minute and drove off. Tracking said delivery was missed. I called Fedex and made a huge stink and ended up getting my package brought back. I'm like the most passive person when it comes to dealing with CS (I know it's not the rep's fault 99% of the time and I make sure they know that) but I let them know how big of a deal it is when their drivers think it's okay to skimp on their job. I know how tough it can be since I worked as a driver for FedEx while putting myself through college.

Naked should have been your posture! Then when the driver asked for you to sign you should have taken one step out the door and signed the tablet. All this would have been avoided, you would be sporting a new phone and I wouldn't be sitting here writing these ridiculous posts

Unbelievable I just called UPS again because a CS rep near my location hasn't called me back within the hr, and upon talking to a rep, she said a call attempt was made but no one answered.

My phone has been literally right next to me and I've received no call.

Why do you guys think UPS would lie like this??

Anyways, she contacted a CS rep who "supposedly" said he contacted the driver and will make a 2nd delivery attempt today.

But how things have been going, I doubt this will happen :(

I have had a driver stop, then leave, then come back a bit later. I wouldn't make a massive stink about it until it was getting close to the point that they just aren't coming that day.

I understand. I've had that happened also where the driver would come and deliver it to another house on my street, then come back to me later in the day.

However, what I'm upset about is the indicated "First Attempt Made" notice online even though I know for a fact that the driver did not come to my door nor did he leave a notice.

We can cry together. I don't think I'll be seeing mine today either. :(

Ok so I just saw the UPS driver back up again into my complex and I saw him bring 2 small boxes somewhere a couple units down. I'm thinking maybe he is delivering a package to someone else and coming back to me.

I'm standing there anxiously at the window, but just in case I put my shoes on and go out, stand next to my car (where his truck is close to), act nonchalantly and see if he comes to my door.

But then what do I see?....He gets back into his truck and about to freakin LEAVE!...

At that point my adrenline is running, and I run right to him and saw if he had any packages for my unit.

He tells me (not in exact words), "oh yeah I was trying to delivery your packages earlier"

I tell him where the hell he went because my unit is further down the other way, and he points me to the location where he came from.

He also told me he was here earlier but he went to the same unit at a different street number.

To end it, if I had not been persistent and carefully watched my window like a hawk, I would have missed him again, because this MONKEY would have delivered to the same WRONG place again.

This guy is unbelievable!

*whew* at least this nightmare is over!

I'm so glad your story has a happy ending. My daughter saw from her bedroom window the UPS truck at the end of our driveway, which is rather long. So I ran out to meet him. He said "Wow, you're coming out to meet me halfway!" I hopped up and down and pointed at the boxes and said "They're IPhones!" He laughed and asked my daughter if one of them was for her and we told him she was getting my old old IPhone. He said his granddaughter had gotten his IPhone 4. It was a nice conversation. He's a very nice man.

I've been lucky so far with UPS on this route. At my last house most were great but I did have one guy drive off without really stopping. Weird.

I wish I hadn't jumped up and down like a little girl but I'd been waiting all day and was pretty excited. I couldn't run the vacuum in case I missed hearing the doorbell. And my husband had even gone to school in my place so I could be home to sign for them. Plus after what had happened to you I was so relieved to see he had stopped.
