I'm sure you're right. The other 800 views so far probably think exactly the same way you do, but didn't feel like jumping on the noble bandwagon.

I'm no saint when it comes to digital media (music).

BiteSMS is one app that should never be pirated because the guy literally gives it away for free! Maybe when you are old enough to have a job your attitude will change.

He is right.....

I wasn't going to waste my time until I saw this post. We need people supporting these developers so they have a reason to create new and innovative software. What we don't need people like you...

jailbreak != pirate

I find it mindboggling that SB Adblock isn't known and used by practically everyone nowadays. It allows you to toggle between a regular hosts file and one that blocks all ads, it patches those apps like SBSettings and iFile that normally won't run with such a hosts file, and it auto-updates the blocklist every time it's enabled.

EDIT: Link: http://www.modyouri.com/adblock-toggle/1-adblock-toggle-block-ads-system-wide.html
Yeah, I didn't know what they were talking about with the ads in Bite. All I ever see are the "Please buy a license" banners. I've been rocking AdBlock since the day it came out.

I don't know if that makes me a bad person, but it's probably not the worst thing I've ever done.

damn, i was just trying to help.

i wasnt aware it was such a big deal to block ads.

since as far back i as i can remember, i always used an ad/popup blocker with ie/firefox/chrome/etc... does that make me a pirate? because i want to block ads that are shown through an app i got for free?

because google or microsoft so generously give me a web browser, i owe them my time by clicking on ads that pop up? gimme a break. THIS is no different.

although it was very generous for the dev to give out bitesms for free+ads, but nowhere does it state that i owe it to anyone to look at them.

and about the little "if you want it gone, buy it" thing. i have no idea what other ads normally pop up, but there are a bunch. ive already blocked 4 different ip addresses.

The difference here is that you are trying to circumvent the method the developer uses to make money when you chose to not buy his app but yet still use it.

If you, and everyone else does this, developers will not do this type of thing in the future. Maybe you don't care. Others do...

I know the majority of you will take the advice I mentioned above, but none will admit it. To those people, you're welcome.

The majority of the people on MR value their time, and value the developer's time, more than to waste it following the advice in your post, all to save $6.00.
