Wouldn't VMware Fusion be slow, though???

I hope this thing can perform.

VMware should be fine, just make sure you allot enough RAM to the guest OS. You won't be able to run hardcore windows programs though. For that I would suggest using Boot Camp on its own

Like someone said before, take it, it's free. What do you have to lose??
If it doesn't perform like you need just donate it to me and I'll find a good use for it ;)

That would suck with Vista. Boot Camp it is then......
BTW, Can I have Vista AND ubuntu in bootcamp?
And can you "unbootcamp" something?
I'm not too sure about Ubuntu, Try here for information.
Boot camp requires that you partition the HD, so it cannot be repartitioned without deleting all partitions and starting over with a blank slate. That's the way I understand it, but I've always used Parallels.

Thats a great deal. It's a very nice laptop. I just finally upgraded my 2006 Core Duo 2.16ghz 17" MBP, to the new Unibody 17" MBP. I sold it on eBay for $1200 last week. I was starting to feel the age, but I was trying to run too much on it at one time.
