free note-taking app?

Several weeks later and no luck, I come here looking for suggestions for a:

- free note taking app
-LOCAL NO INTERNET; no sign ups, nothing to do with the internet
-as simple as taking notes with an attached keyboard (nothing else is needed)
- iOS 15 compatible (yet if you know of one that runs on 10.3, that's fine too)

The notes app can store local without an internet connection.

You can use the Notes app from Apple without logging in to iCloud or log in to iCloud but disable the sync for the Notes app.

The Notes app will suit all your needs.
I'm using it on a daily basis since 2020.

"nothing to do with the internet." Apple Notes uses "cloud" to transfer between devices.

Settings >Apps > Notes > Store on iPhone. You don’t need to login or sync with any account.
