Read my thoughts in the other thread. The Touchpad makes me that much more impressed with my iPad actually.
I was able to order a touchpad today for $99 woot woot.
Also, ever since I started this thread I've been playing a lot with my friend's touchpad and I gotta say,it is a very very nice tablet.
Ok so we know the ipad 2 beats the tablet pretty decisively but I'll still break it down
(by the way guys I ****ed up my back playing football today so am on a lot of pain madications right now, please excuse)

ipad is still better but I don't think anyone ever thought it wasn't. The Touchpad is still a VERY VERY Solid device though and a complete steal at $99. I don't know if someone could why they WON't GET it for $99.

repost from woot
for paying $500 for the ipad 2...
told him to eff off but he's reveling in the fact he got somewhat of the same thing for 1/5th the price.![]()
Yes I bought a Ferrari but my friend bought a Ford for 1/10th of the price and it basically does the same thing! I'm gutted!![]()
Good thing the gap between the iPad and the Touchpad isn't as wide as it is between a Ferrari and a Ford.
Yeah, I would say the gap difference is more like this:
iPad 2 = Lexus
Touchpad = Toyota
They are pretty similar, but the Lexus has a some nicer features that make it an overall better product and also it has more brand prestige.
I would agree with that.
Lol. Fan boys patting each other on the back. After you get your Touchpads and learn how to navigate in & out of apps and windows....
let me know if you still think that iPad is a "Lexus".
The iPad2 is definitely faster and has a much more powerful graphics chip, but WebOS has notifications and multitasking which is generations ahead of anything iOS currently offers.

I've played with the touchpad, so im familiar with what you are saying. First of all, opening a new card for every tab and switching between them is a much bigger pain in the butt than iPads multiple windows (or other browsers available on the iPad that have tabs).
Second, notifications are about to get fixed with iOS 5... And webOS flaws will be fixed never cause it's dead.
Multitasking is the one area where iOS lacks a bit, but what is available is adequate for most people's needs. It certainly works ok for me since I typically focus on one task at a time only occasionally multitasking (example: checking an email that came in while I am surfing the net).
Interesting analogy but you should know Lexus is owned by Toyota!![]()
