Most friends, neighbors and acquaintances don't mention it, but a few have. One of my friends really wants one too. I worked in an Information Technology department, so there are a few other smart watches around. One other coworker has an Apple Watch, but he doesn't like his as much as I like mine. There are at least three Android watches in our department (including a Moto 360).
I don't get that many questions or comments. One of the Android watch wearers chats with me to compare capabilities sometimes. Overall he has been impressed by the Apple Watch... mostly by the display and also by the turn-based haptic driving directions (a feature I rarely use, but it is really cool). We have a mix of Android and iOS users in our department, but not much smack talking back and forth. We are all geeks so we can find something interesting and cool about any gadget you put in front of us.
I have occasionally someone who doesn't wear a smartwatch say something negative (about them in general... not directed at me) about how geeky they are or how they are the new bluetooth earpiece. I don't really care. I like it and after 3 and a half months of wearing an Apple Watch it just seems like a normal part of my wardrobe. I also think it is less conspicuous than when I had an iPhone and no watch. My iPhone and watch are now totally silent since the watch just taps me for everything. I must admit that I feel a bit smug when I hear someone else's smartphone ringing or beeping in places where it is annoying to others around them.
