Some of those look tasty. I wish they'd expand their pasta offerings in the US.

The Pasta Hut name change is purely a marketing gimmick.

If they start spending money on that kind of changeover in this economy, they would be worse accountants than they are pizza makers. That seems highly improbable.

The Bacon Macaroni & Cheese scares me.

Pizza Hut really is the bottom of the barrel in mind mind, as far as pizza is concerned. In my area it is also among the most expensive.

I think instead of expanding to other products, they should have tried to improve the the taste of the current ones.

Now, I have more reasons to stay clear of the Hut.

I'd almost think they use people who can't taste or smell for their studies to see if they can make even cheaper food without the customer noticing.

Can't wait until they start making it with something like ketchup and cheeze wiz.

Agreed. If I have to do chain pizza, I'm a Round Table fan.

I didn't see that on the UK site the OP linked to. I know it's a US offering. The UK pastas look like food.

Never heard of that. Must not be in my area. Luckily I have a non-chain place in the shopping center next to my apartment.

You're right. Those look much better than the US offerings. I guess I just wanted the excuse to say "bacon macaroni & cheese."

I used to love Pizza Hut (the big New Yorker pizza was awesome) but within the last couple of years their quality has really been slipping and you have to pay more for even less food.

I was all about the New Yorker when I was younger. I haven't had pizza hut in ages, I don't even know if they still have the thing, but if they do I can imagine I wouldn't enjoy it as much.

Their pizza is crap, but it's no worse than their awful pasta.

I'll continue to avoid them.

Great, now they can do for pasta what they've done for pizza. AT least what I've heard as I would sooner die than eat in a chain pizza place. NY pizza FTW!

I was curious to here from someone who tried their pasta. I expected it would be bad. I find it hard to believe that terrible commercial where they claim to deceive a restaurant full of people with it.

Well, it is still better than dehydrated pasta in a cardboard box ... marginally.

Because you aren't required to add water or reheat this pasta or add water, but you pay extra for this service.

I can't stand their pizza (we're a Papa Murphy's house), but I've had their chicken alfredo and it wasn't bad. Of course it's pretty hard to screw up chicken alfredo. ;)

You just have to realize you're not going to get $30/plate quality when you're getting a tub of pasta and breadsticks for 12 bucks.

If you wanna be picky then go to a real restaurant, but if you want decent pasta for the price then I don't think it's too bad.

The Results so Far…

Although probably not the results the marketing team were looking for, with the “No” bar covering up the heading:

:D
