The Results so Far…

Although probably not the results the marketing team were looking for, with the “No” bar covering up the heading:

:D

It's been rigged!!!

What a turnaround in the last 9 hours.

Considering most of the country has spend most if that time asleep.

What's with all the free advertising for them? And if you are being paid for it, FOR SHAME, SPAMMER! :p

I think I'll avoid it because if it's anything like their pizza it will be stodgy greasy foulness at a ridiculous price.

God though, my coworkers like to order these boxes and split it up between 2-3 of them.

If you ask me, it looks disgusting and it smells horrendous. I would definitely not touch, at all.

Give me fast food pizzas, burgers, hot dogs. Don't give me fast food pasta.

good for them .. because their pizza sure does taste awefull (at least it did so when i ate there once when pizza hut still was present in austria)

i can't believe how it is even remotely possible to screw up a salami pizza

When I was a kid, I used to love their pan pizzas. Really greasy, great for watching hockey games on TV. It was always the most expensive (fast food) pizza place, though. I knew that even at a young age, before I really cared. I insisted on ordering from a place called 2-For-1 pizza, which gave you 2 pizzas for around.....$15 or so (can't remember).

Anyway, I have nothing against their pizza. Pizza Hut Australia is absolute rubbish, but I have a feeling that the version you get in North America is better. When I go back to Canada, I'll give it a go.

I prob shouldn't say but i work for pizza hut (im a student who likes macs so therefore needs to work because they don't come cheap!!) and i have to admit i never used to eat the pasta (when i was little i had a thing about spaghetti because i once choked on it in a hut lol), but the other week i had the lasagne and i liked it, portion was too big though so i couldn't finish it, i haven't tried the new things but have been told the salmon pasta bake is lovely too by one of the waitresses (as you can imagine, we were quite shocked by how nice we thought they were, as we know that generally the pizza isn't always great) However it makes sense, as the company is supposed to be trying to go up market with their food, my restaurant recently had things like garlic king prawns and portobello mushrooms with garlic butter and mozzarella cheese and things on the menu which again were lovely.
I think it just depends really which one you go to!
p.s. in the UK the big new yorker is long gone (and I'm thankful, they were reallllllly heavy!!)

"Name change"

On April 1, 2008, Pizza Hut sent emails to customers advertising that they now offer pasta items on their menu. The email (and similar advertising on the company's website) stated "Pasta so good we've changed our name to 'Pasta Hut'." The name change was a publicity stunt held in conjunction with April Fools' Day, extending through the month of April, with the company's Dallas headquarters changing its exterior logo to Pasta Hut.[17] This name change was also used to promote the new Tuscani Pasta line and new Pizza Hut dine-in menu. The First Pasta Hut Ad has the Original Pizza Hut restaurant being imploded and recreated, but when they construct the new building, the sign saying "Pasta Hut" is placed on the building. Pasta Hut is now part of the Pizza Hut menu.

On October 6, 2008 Pizza Hut UK revealed that it would temporarily re-brand 30 of its stores 'Pasta Hut' as part of an £18 million move to attract new customers and to move more upmarket.

I'm not bothered what they call it as long as they still sell pizzas! The website asks you to vote for a name change but there's nothing about whether the menu is going to change or not.

Don't think they do the same pizzas in the US and UK. There's a Pizza Hut near me that does rather nice thin-base pizzas. The pizzas are quite good but they're stingy with the toppings.

It has a big list of pastas on the page, what are you on about?

Well, it is still better than dehydrated pasta in a cardboard box ... marginally.

Because you aren't required to add water or reheat this pasta or add water, but you pay extra for this service.

Actually, it's pasta that comes in bags that has to be soaked in hot water for a few minutes to get the noodles soft. They then add bought in sauce that has been thawed and then add the chicken chunks or bacon of whatever meat it comes with and then bake it in the oven.

The bags of pasta do come in a cardboard box. Hows that for pasta hut?

The pasta's taste terrible from pizza hut!

Not only the pasta but the pizzas are horrible as well. Pizza Hut used to actually make their own dough. They got rid of that a few years ago and now they use frozen dough. It is often used the next day as well which is a big NO NO. In fact, nothing is really made fresh. Sauce is from concentrate, mix with water and stir. Vegies and meat are all pre-sliced and packaged including tomatos. Even the sauce that goes on the wing street wings is pre-made. Cut open the pouch and the sauce is poured into pans.

Pizza Hut used to be good but now I would never order anything from them. I'm sure the other two big Pizza chains do it exactly the same way.

I was curious to here from someone who tried their pasta. I expected it would be bad. I find it hard to believe that terrible commercial where they claim to deceive a restaurant full of people with it.

That's because to most Americans pasta is spaghetti covered with Prego.

They make the best pizzas in the world, they are my favorite!

Stuffed Crust FTW!

Oh yeah, check the poll!

I just visited PizzaHut.com and checked out the photo of the pasta dishes. Are they kidding?! Those look disgusting. Memories of bad summer camp food dished out from those big foil pans. *shudder*

Looking at the advert, it appears that their pasta dishes are just regular pasta with a gigantic serving of mayonnaise. I've always been a Dominos person myself. :)
