I have had the Space Grey Sport since April 24th, love it.
But I'm tempted to sell it and buy the SS model.
I am a pretty casual guy and the Sport is fine for me everyday, but I do somewhat prefer the upscale look of the SS.
Anyway anyone switch from the Sport to the SS?
Thoughts.
Thanks

I own the stainless steel from the start, and I can tell it looks good. Better band options and sapphire crystal to protect from scratches. Even though sapphire is more shatter prone, the likelihood of dropping a device strapped to your wrist is so small you're better of with scratchproof, rather than shatter resistant.

I made the same switch. Sometimes I'm glad I did, sometimes I regret it.

I wouldn't bother for the original watch.

Im gonna go for SS for the second or third watch. If the iPod, iPhone and iPad evolution is to be followed there will be considerable hardware advances over the next fre iterations.

Me too, I have changed from Apple Watch Sport to Apple Watch(SS) last week. Look great!

i suspect the hardware in the AW is very superior to that available in the iPad 1 from the iPad 2.

I genuinely believe the AW 1st Gen is at least more than capable of lasting 2 years.

If the apple watch is your everyday watch then go with SS
The sports does look like a toy watch but great for wearing for fitness

I'm contemplating the switch as well. Two things are holding me back; the first being that this is the first gen AW, and second being the price. The Sport performs like the other models. The only difference is the material build.

I've read many users state that the SS is amazing because it won't scratch as easily. The screen does have the sapphire glass which will make it less likely to scratch, but the casing will scratch with normal wear and tear.

IMO I would stick with the Sport model until the next gen AW is released - that is my 2 cents.

I have a SS version and I love it. However, I also like the Space Grey Sport, so I think I'll wait for them to come down on the use market and pick one up as well. Apple got me...

Thanks guys.
I Preordered thinking it was a First Gen Product and I went cheap, I usually don't go the route with Apple.
After seeing the watch in person even my Wife wanted the SS model, but we got the Sports.
We workout everyday so the Sport is a good fit, but I like the look of the SS so I'm selling mine today on CL for $600, $200 over list then I found a SS Classic Buckle so the swap out will cost be just want Apple wants, $200. Sure I could wait and order again from Apple, but don't want to wait until July.

I will definitely keep the Sport for this life cycle, and whenever I get a new one, I will go SS. And if it is after I have paid off my cars, it will have the link bracelet ;)

I sold the sport for 600, 38mm, and bought the SS. I love both but I use for everyday and the SS is it for me. I also run everyday with it and the SS is fine.:D

42mm SG sold, bought a white 38mm Sport, then traded up for a 38mm SS. Love the SS much more than the Sport for the looks alone. Goes with everything. Wore it out this weekend in Vegas, wore it to the pool in the day, wore it out to the pool at XS on Sunday Nightswim with Skrillex, and wore it everywhere else. Tons of compliments, people were shocked I had it in the pool lol. I wanted to stay sport for this gen, but for the prices and deals I've made I've out of pocketed less for a SS after selling the others for profits. Just waiting for more band options personally.

I'm actually looking to go the other way... SS looks nice but I can't justify that big of a price gap.
(If anyone in the Boston area has a 38mm Sport and is looking for a 38mm SS BSB, let me know.)

I'm sitting here pondering this move myself as well. It's either find someone to swap with or return it and order the sport and wait.

I'll be in Boston briefly at the airport, getting ready for an international flight. How much are you asking?

So I just flipped my Sport for a SS and I have to agree that the SS is a nicer watch overall.
Don't get me wrong the SG is very cool but the SS seems to pop more.
Can't go wrong with either one, but I'm glad I decided to switch.
Thanks

Excellent. Now we need to convince you to flip the SS model for the Sport, or even better, the Edition. XD

Did the same thing. I convinced myself that SG sport was the way to go for a 1.0 product. Tried the thing and immediately went to SS.

SG is nice but SS is very nice. And it's a fashion accessory so you want to feel it dresses you up a little.
