I'm going the other way

2 weeks with the SS model and now going to the SG Sport - sold my SS for $850

The SS feels uncomfortable after awhile and a lighter sport model is ideal for me and my fitness activity. Users will vary of course.

The SS is very nice, but it's nothing special IMO - I personally couldn't justify the 650 price, even with being comfortable with my finances.

I have to wait until end of June with my new order most likely, but can wait since I know what to expect from Watch OS - hopefully it gets an update soon too.

Maybe with a more polished OS and hardware refine (bigger watch face), I'll think about SS again.

I'm currently contemplating that move. I LOVE my Sport Space Grey 42mm, but since the market seems to cover the upgrade cost...I can do without a watch until July. I think the upgrade to the Sapphire Crystal is big...but we'll see. If it doesn't sell to cover the upgrade, I'm just fine with my Sport, too!

Sold my Space Grey on eBay and bought a white SS on eBay and basically paid for the gap in cost. I don't think the person who sold me the SS knew how much they were fetching on there. I love my upgrade!

Man, I'd love to do this, I just don't think I could go until July without an Apple Watch. I've grown so accustomed to it on my wrist. But that shiny stainless steel.... tempting. If only I could wear a 38mm...

Add me to the club

I sold my space grey sport to get the SS

Reasons why

The space grey doesn't look good with anything but the black band
It doesn't look like a watch , the SS does if that makes any sense
I just don't like the look of the SG , is ok on the iPhone cause I'm not wearing it and my iPhone always has a case , but the watch doesn't look good in space grey

So I sold the watch for $600 and ordered the SS for $600

Another convert here.

I had a 42mm sport with blue strap on launch day and enjoyed it. I had it a week, which was long enough to know I liked the concept and execution. All my other watches are SS or gold, and I do prefer these materials over Al. I opted to take advantage of the secondary market and sold my sport for $600 and placed an order for 42mm SS (actually have 3 on order for different band combos - whichever comes first). I got tired of waiting (ie - I was jonesing for my apple watch), and ordered the 38mm SS BSB, and got it less than 48 hours later. My wife expressed interest in the watch, so I'll pass it on to her when my 42mm ships.

The SS is definitely nicer and thing of beauty, but I would have been ok with the sport, too.

It's just a bummer the 38mm is shipping so much faster than the 42mm, I don't think I could deal with the smaller screen.

Looks like I'll be making the switch after all. Selling my Sport Space Grey 42mm for $700 and I'll be upgrading to the SS 42mm Leather Loop with an extra black sport band. I have the SS BSB and SS leather loop on order with an extra leather loop on order. Whichever one ships first...I keep! Course I ordered yesterday, so the estimated ship date is July. # So...a couple months without an Apple Watch...not too bad, I suppose. I won't like it, but I THINK I'll survive. #

Just went through this change today. Received my 42mm Space Grey Sport yesterday but felt it was a little too big for my wrists. Sold it today for $600. I was fine with the way it looked but I was worried about scratches. Decided to upgrade to a Stainless Steel 38mm Black Sport Band, didn't lose a single dollar on the purchase.

Amazing to see the prices of the watches being sold. When I sold my 42mm SG right after the 24th, I got $975. Now the prices have dropped drastically. Glad I sold mine when I did.

Sold my SG for £550 upgraded to the SS... So glad I did! It's even got a few light scuffs but it looks just as classy and with the option of a polish later. If you scuffed a SG model that would be it.... Also, so much nicer if you wear a suit doesn't look at all out of place. :D

I also ended up changing my order from the 42MM Space Gray Sport to the 38MM Stainless steel Milanese loop.

First I wanted to get the 42mm Sport Space Grey model mainly because of the price and that I really liked how it looked if I replaced it's band with the brown leather loop or the black leather band. Then I also thought that hey, if I'm spending almost 600$ I could just spend another hundred and get the smaller sapphire glass milanese loop model with the smaller size. Not because of the 50$ but because my wrist is small and I had a lot of second thoughts regarding the 42mm anyway.

I cancelled my original order for a 42 Green Sport placed on 04/10, after trying on the SS. I placed my 42 SS BSB order on the 13th (which is still processing).

Mentioned in a few other threads, but I switched simply due to availability. I placed an order for the Sport Space gray just over a month ago, and was still processing. 5/11/15 4PM CST I placed an order for a 38mm Stainless BSB.

It's out for delivery today.

Not worried about the size, as worst case scenario I can upgrade when they launch 2.0 next year, and my wife can inherit. Also have small wrists and am not a fan of larger watches, so I'm not seriously anticipating any issues.
