Front Page screwed?

Is it just me or has the front page gone to plain text like the mobile version. Seems to happen both on my mac and iPod.

Probably just me though..

Same here...it's happened three or four times this morning..

I'm seeing it too. A refresh brings back the normal page. Probably a temporary thing that we'll read about tomorrow. Wait a moment, isn't tomorrow tuesday? Perhaps MR is getting something ready for a huge Apple announcement?

All I know, is that today MR has made Safari less snappy.

It's the https://www.macrumors.com page where all the rumors are posted (well, official rumors - not official, but rumors posted by administrators)

Yes, the stylesheet is definitely not loading occasionally. As myriad others have stated, a refresh fixes.

Slashdot put a link to MacRumors today.

That usually generates enough traffic to destroy mortal sites. MR looks like it took the beating with only a loss of the CSS.

That's impressive, I'd like to see what the bandwidth bill looks like the day before, the day of, and the day after a slashdotting.

I might be crazy, but I seems to recall a job posting months ago here for someone to make the website more modern / redesign. Perhaps they are doing some type of a switch over for an upcoming launch. Would make sense, given WWDC will bring massive traffic to this site.
