Is it just me or has the front page gone to plain text like the mobile version. Seems to happen both on my mac and iPod.

Probably just me though..

Hmm.. Seems fine now, on both devices.

Weird...

I just noticed this, but then refreshed and it's normal now. Probably something wonky with loading the CSS file.

I'm seeing it too. A refresh brings back the normal page. Probably a temporary thing that we'll read about tomorrow. Wait a moment, isn't tomorrow tuesday? Perhaps MR is getting something ready for a huge Apple announcement?

All I know, is that today MR has made Safari less snappy. :D

It keeps happening to me both on my mac and on my iphone.

I just noticed upon clicking on a thread, that the forum is also showing up in a real dark grey? I hit back before really registering this, but I will try to get a screenshot of this...

Slashdot put a link to MacRumors today.

That usually generates enough traffic to destroy mortal sites. MR looks like it took the beating with only a loss of the CSS.

That's impressive, I'd like to see what the bandwidth bill looks like the day before, the day of, and the day after a slashdotting.

I mean that might be the case....

but SlashDot has mentioned MacRumors a couple times...

EDIT: Sorry to the poster below, I didn't see Doctor Q's merging..

I might be crazy, but I seems to recall a job posting months ago here for someone to make the website more modern / redesign. Perhaps they are doing some type of a switch over for an upcoming launch. Would make sense, given WWDC will bring massive traffic to this site.

Wishful thinking! But that'd be nice!
