i believe i have isolated what is causing my browser at work to crash.
i really think it is the ads on the forum that is killing IE. It never happens at any other site and only on the forums here

Did you try the vbulletin default?

i will be trying that one out tomorrow while i am at work. It is strange it seems to be only one or two types of ads, as the normal text based ads load and some image ones, but then others just crash it and i can't tell which ones it is because it crashes before they load.

I can't remember as i rarely if every check the main site while at work, only on wednesday did i for the updates.

It could be due to some flash error with the computer if this site still uses flash based adverts, i don't really remember seeing many flash adverts on my powermac, but who knows.

i have the same problem. it sucks 'cause i usually have to re-type everything. For me, this only happens when typing long messages, or messages with looong quotes.

I had no issues at all surfing/posting on a PC running SP1 with Firefox 1.07. No strange behavior or anything at all. Next time I'm next to a PC with IE enabled (these ones have it locked away and hidden :D) I'll try it out.

with the upgrades and whatnot. let me know if it's still a problem.
