What I found interesting in the dpreview was this statement:
Meanwhile, the company hinted the X-Pro1 will be accompanied by at least one less expensive model.
That implies that there will be a new model above the X100 and the X-Pro1?

[The X100] Looks like an interesting camera...
Too bad it doesn't have removable lenses, a small selection of pancakes: ~20mm, 40mm and 80mm imo would be near perfect :)

This now looks very interesting! I love it.

I know some cringe when they hear this, but it really is shaping up to be a poor man's Leica.

I'd call it a »less rich man's Leica« :D

I'd call it a sane man's Leica :p :D

DigitalRev's review is out!

I tried one out last week at the UK 'Focus' show. TBH I didn't really like it. I'm looking for small in a mirrorless camera - and the X1 is surprisingly big. Too expensive too.

I haven't seen one in person yet, but I was surprised at the dimensions when I compared them to an EVIL camera I was also considering.

----------

I take that back, after taking a quick look at B&H again here are some numbers all WxHxD:

X-Pro1 5.5 x 3.2 x 1.7
M9 5.47 x 3.15 x 1.46
OM-D E-M5 4.8 x 3.5 x 1.7
Pen E-P3 4.51 x 2.85 x 1.63
Pen E-PM1 4.31 x 2.5 x 1.5

While I know that the Pen's are not EVIL cameras, at least without the optional EV, I added them for illustrative purposes.

Well, i have a X100 and i love it. I wish they release a full frame camera with the 35mm 1.4 lens. The 5D with 35mm 1.4L is to heavy for everyday use... (1.5kg)

Why?
I get that you'd like a faster lens (f/1.4 vs. f/2 in the Fujinon), but why do you want a full frame sensor? The X100 and apparently also the X Pro 1 have excellent image quality high and ISO performance. The only thing that is »missing« is the shallower depth of field for equivalent focal lengths.
