Priced at $666.66?
Wonder why Jobs picked THAT number?
Only a christian would ask THAT question. It's just a number, and Jobs wasn't aware of the eschatological nuances or the current understanding of the pope's beard or the communion and what have you…

Have said it before, will say it gain, if you're a Fan of Apple, highly-recommend you Read, if you haven't already, the first 1/3 OR so of the Steve Jobs Bio by Walter Isaacson !

It describes the Early Years of Apple in great detail !

I give it 5 stars !

Numerology was important in the Vedic, Babylonian and Judaic traditions even before Christianity, So I don't know why you're suddenly piling on this guy...

What a snarky, almost bigoted reply. Even the author of the article you attached had the same thought.

Yeah, and it is important in buddhism as well. Do you attach any special meaning to the number 72?

I am wondering what software at that time they used to design PCB. It does not look like a hand-etched PCB. Since they were bulging personal computer they had to use some company machine to do this. Anyone know and can share this story?
If I had to guess I would think it was done by hand with transfer tape, X-Acto knives and Rubylith, but by hand.

My understanding is that PCB design software was relegated to huge conglomerates. Racal- Redac and IBM were early layout SW providers, but all that stuff and the skills to run it were way beyond hobbyist.

Be aware that there is a difference between the process of drawing the layout and etching the PCBs. the latter would be quite easy to outsource once you have the initial masks

666 is a well-known number in western numerology, and not only to Christians. It's part of Western lore and folklore. There are a plethora of movies, songs, games, etc that mention 666. While the idea of 666 as the number of the Beast originated in Christianity, your statement that "only a Christian" would ask that question is asinine at best.

Really cool to see these still out there, wish I still had my old IIc and the 200 or so disks I had for it!

Zork and Soft Porn Adventure FTW! ;)
I still have my //e and all of the 5.25" floppies that came with it. I started it up a few years ago. Like a top.

I'd pay more for one without Wozniak's signature on it. He used to be the coolest guy in tech but heard him speak at a function a few years ago and he was an insufferable blowhard.

Woz was the tech genius of the two. I remember only ONCE hooking a cassette recorder up to my Apple ][e to upload a MIDI sound to it as I had my ][e connected to my KORG keyboard in college. It was very old school, but for that time it did work. I still miss that game Karateka to this day. I think my 5 1/4 floppies are long gone when I sold my Apple ][GS. :(

PS: I'm told that my original Apple ][e is still in working order by the person, now in Hollywood I sold it to. I wish I had it back. LOL

Curious lets say you have 20 New Old Stock Apple I computers. Would it be best not to sell all at once or just let one out on occasion?

No details? Did he say the N word and make jokes about people etc..

what a collectible

Apple computers are known for their longevity.
Fully agreed.

This ... considering Woz is now in his golden years ... could make this device the very LAST time his signature will grace another Apple Mac ever again. A record time in history and Woz has already, countless times, documented and interviewed his role at Apple, his passions, his accident and his love for teaching. Such a joyful spirit and has NEVER been in ANY scandal.

To be part of changing the world, teaching, and being humble and NOT be in any scandal or public discredit of his or his family or family name ... A Gentleman or A Fellow.

Woz I believe stated the PCB board was sourced and he hand soldered chips onto it. ... grass roots garage days. There is a museum that has the Apple I and he's stated in a video for that museum exactly this. unless I'm mistaken.

Nothing like that. He just spoke as if he invented everything in the computer industry. He crapped a bit more on Jobs than I expected (Jobs deserves a certain amount of it but Woz was relentless).
