I understand some may prefer the smaller 4 inch phone, but don't downplay the removed features from the 6s as " not a big deal" when these very features is what made the majority of people purchase the 6s to begin with.

I'll decide how important form factor is to me,

And I'll decide how I value ancillary features in comparison to that.

Its so hypocritical to know that...
...im actually buying an SE.

I bought the 6s because I had a subsidy I needed to use and it was the smallest flagship iPhone I could get at the time. If the smaller SE was available at the time I would have gotten that instead.

Couldn't care less about a barometer, 3D touch, selfie camera, or other random stuff on the 6s I don't use. They aren't a big deal to me.

Its the current 6s owners who have been using said missing features and now could care less about them because there is a newer and shinier new model out, even though its less powerful and lacking features.

The SE is not less powerful than the 6s. They have the same processor and 2 GB of RAM. Do not confuse power with features. Lacking features is true, but less powerful is false.

I think it's a great option for those of us with iPads, especially iPad minis. You criticize the design as being old, but can you really name a single bad thing about the design? I can't - screen protectors cover the entire glass surface since it's flat, no protruding camera ring, no ugly antenna lines, beautiful mix of glass and aluminum, strong and rigid, fits in 5/ 5s cases. If I didn't have my 5S that I'm still paying off I would buy the SE immediately. Wish I had Live Photos.

But yet, you have a majority of these same people who clamored for these new features in the 6s now shrugging off the fact that they have been stripped away from the SE as features that "aren't a big deal".

I think this is the crux of your problem. You're looking at this as "features that were stripped away from the 6s".

You should be looking at this as "features added to the 5s". When you look at it that way and see that it's $50 cheaper now, it changes things a lot.

Basically, you're comparing the SE to the wrong phone.

Its a 4" iPhone. The 6s is not. The only thing amazing is how some people don't understand why that is significant.

The iPhone SE is specifically for people who WANT a 4" phone, above all else.

People like the OP can't comprehend that this is not an update to a completely different tier (4") and has nothing to do with their 6s.

Thought i would re post this from a previous thread for anyone considering buying this mediocre product

- It does not have 3D Touch
- It does not have a Barometer
- Front facing camera is still 1.2mp
- Does not offer the 128GB model
- First iteration slower TouchID sensor
- No dual domain pixels
- No LTE advanced

:D

Most of that hardly makes a difference, let alone makes anything mediocre, to many people, especially those updating from a pre-iPhone 6s line of phones.

Mediocre only because you have some sort of hellbent hate against it, as I've posted on another thread, it has many advantages.

- Cheaper price
- Better battery life
- No camera bump
- Small form factor for people who want it
- Same camera as the 6S
- Same performance as the 6S
- Design that some people prefer
- Lighter than the 6S
