This is a parody of the other movies that haven't even come out yet. To say it's tongue-in-cheek is way too simplistic. It's trying to be several different "meta" things all at once. Just as Apple suffered an identity crisis or three, this movie does the same. It can't decide if it wants to be overly stupid to be funny (hammering modern day computers and cutting ribbon cable) or if it wants to play up the more subtle humor of Steve's personality quirks. That's really where it fails. It's like there were too many writers with their hands in this one. Or maybe just not the right one for the job. Lots of unrealized potential here.

Lighten Up!!

This film is ridiculous, completely inaccurate, and NOT supposed to be taken seriously. HOWEVER, we are all watching it ... which is exactly the point. Funny or Die knew that there would be people like us who live for this type of thing. You are watching it. I am watching it. And guess what ... yes, it is somewhat funny.

What Would Steve Think?

I'm wondering if I could get some opinions as to what the Real Steve jobs would think about this film? Particularly them joking about him having cyber sex with Melinda Gates. Would Steve find this funny or revolting? I have my own opinions, but I'm wondering what everyone else on here thinks.

Dear Lord.

This was a bad take, almost hilarious 1/4 of the way through, almost.

If I ever hear some guy talk like that Bill Gates impersonator/actor again I'll be thrown in jail for punching his lights out!

PS: to be honest I'd always thought Steve J would win in a fight with Bill Gates, just saying.

Oh that's easy…

Steve would never have allowed this!

Mac v. PC

Does anybody think that Steve Jobs had any role in directing the actual Mac v. PC commercials? Could there be a thread of truth to that scene where he's telling Justin what to do?

I haven't watched it, but I can see what it would be like...

Obviously Wozniak would just have to enter 4 8 15 16 23 42 while programming all day long to stop Apple being destroyed. No? :p

What made me stop watching less than half way through was how Woz was being belittled by everyone... how truthful is that? Was he really picked on and made fun of so terribly by his colleagues? I would like to think not.

It's starts of kinda meh but if you watch the whole thing it was good

The dell guy was funny as ***
And the virtual reality part too

Was hoping to get a couple of laughs out of this. Never did. The writing lacks the sophistication to be clever, and the slapstick is uninspired. It's the comical equivalent of a high school dweeb trying to impress a girl.

And poor Commodore just can't get a break, even in a parody. Thanks, Ryan Perez, you hump.

Definitely low budget.

That was kind of okay. Some of the subtler stuff (the hat tip to The Aviator for instance) was redeeming. Overall though, not terribly funny.

I'm still trying to watch it, but the inaccuracies are way out there. Yet I for some reason am laughing at how bad it is.

I will admit I sort of laughed at how when they introduced Bill Gates he quoted a lot of the original Think Different commercial.

I thought it was funny, kinda boring at some points, i kept checking the timer.

But, boy oh boy, ole Wiz should be offended, that fat guy who played him doesn't portray the Wiz at all, it's offensive that's what it is.

If I may be so bold...I do not think the point is to critique how factual this is, or even how funny the individual jokes are; I think "the joke" is to imagine if after all of the waiting, you went to see one of the "real" Jobs biopics (Kutcher's or Sorkin's), and it ended up being this. And, frankly, that would be hilarious. Awesome job!

Justin Long should not have been picked for Steve Jobs.. Kutcher would have been a better choice... Long will ruin the movie.. and that jerk who plays Wozniak.. doesn't even look like Wozniak at all...

I say throw tomatos at Long... he will make this movie suck..
