Any funny wireless network names around you?
If I'm in the right spot I'm able to pick up a network called "i bent my wookie", and another called "retard-with-a-gun"

What about you?

ISHOTTHESHERR!F at the local shopping mall, and although it isn't funny, I find it comical that the commuter rail's free wifi is called Commuter Rail Connect when it only lets my iPod or MacBook connect to it about 1/5 of the time, and even then it is still unbelievably slow.

EDIT: This somehow reminded me of an XKCD quote from a while ago, "We need a holiday to honor the countless kind souls with unsecured networks named 'linksys'."

I leave the WiFi display setting on just to see where networks show up as I travel around the city, and what they are named. I'll be on the lookout for funny ones! :)

I've got "Babb," "Green Bowl," and "Smity." Those are my weird ones.

At work, I pick up a signal called "Macs are Better" :p

is a state of mind.
Picture this...

A nice Sunday, late afternoon, in an urban park full of kids, dogs, and picnics. I pullout my iPhone to see what is going on out on the internets and the wi-fi pop-up announces that "pen*s" is available (if I know the password).

I thought that was great. You figure there are dozens (hundreds?) of parents everyday that truck through that park with something that is wi-fi enabled and up pops, well, good ol' pen*is net.

And, no...there was no * in the actual name.

True story. I immediately showed my wife and she was (not surprisingly) un-ammused.

The "funniest" around here is "Wonkavision".

Yeah, I know, not funny. I think I have the coolest SSID in the whole building, with "Unknown Error".

Which isn't saying much, I know.

i can see a bender and a Petoria (Family guy reference i think)

worst one ever was called "Room 128" at my apartment on campus. punks in that room had a party all freakin night and the network was unsecure, so me and my roommate hopped on the network and found a shared printer:

turn down the music
turn down the music
turn down the music
turn down the music

pages and pages of that were sent to the printer. within a minute the network disappeared

None of the ones around me are funny but they are all totally open. Suckers. (I don't use them though, their connection speeds are crap)

Ours used to be named "twunts" but we changed it and I don't think we broadcast.

After discovering the neighbours leeching my connection, I secured it and changed the SSID to "Piss off cheap c**ts!"

Obviously a the uncensored version.

A network that shows up when I'm at home is called 'dog trash' :D. On the other hand, my network's name is simply 'Apple Network'.

When I was out and about one day I managed to pick up a network called 'kingkong', and used the internet off it since it wasn't password protected.

Somewhere in New England, USA.
Some funny ones I've come across-
"bobo-faggins" which resides somewhere close to a local comic shop
"cunningstunts" I found while sitting downtown
The neighbors house has one called "tazerjunkie" - he's a state police officer.
"freeporndoor" I ran across during a daytrip - which was amusing, as I was sitting not 50 feet from a beautiful old church with nuns & priests running around.
