I love the packaging and all that but I am in 5 bar 3G coverage and I can't get 2 speed tests the same. I says 1 thing then the next is half of the one before it was. My gps is putting me over a block away right now as I wait to see this movie. I am standing still doing these tests. I don't know, both of my cases are doing it. Maybe others will have better luck with theirs but my vapor honestly blows this away. I don't know how but it does. I guess we will have to wait for more reviews. But I'm not happy right now because this was my last hope. I hope it works out for everyone else.

dude, metal interferes with cell signal, it always has, it always will. Other people are just in stronger areas.

Mine should arrived soon with open back. Can the you reverse the front and back? I would prefer have the screws on the showing on the bottom.

You can reverse it on the RAW-O (open back) if you'd like. The screws can face either way on that model.

Just got my Fusionwerkz Raw O in gunmetal and so far so good! The packaging even tops Alumacase's by far. Going to test GPS on the road here in a bit.

Got my blue open style and gunmetal closed with black back. Beautiful fit and finish but it definiitely does a number on my signal. Using field test my numbers go from -75 to -100 with either the closed or open case on, and the wifi signal fluctuates as well. Also IMHO the open sides of the case make it feel sharp and uncomfortable in the hand. It also makes the volume buttons rather challenging to operate.

All that said, I also decided to test my phone with various other cases. Surprise surprise, the vaja top and the apple bumper both attenuate the signal to the same degree as the RAW. Only my Piel Frama iMagnum case has the distinction of not only not degrading the signal, it actually I proves it rather significantly. So my choice is clear.

I think the moral of the story is that any case touching this phone has the potential of degrading the signal. It is inherent in the design of the phone itself. That said, only the RAW actually caused my wifi to fluctuate as well. That plus its ergonomics make it not the case for me.

Gorgeous, though. Really!

could you guys post pics? since there's no fushionwerkz groupies that work for them posting pictures.

I am going to return mine too. Signal is worse, GPS is off, uncomfortable to hold and buttons are hard to reach. Looks great, but doesn't out way the negative. Think, I am done trying out cases. Sticking to my yellow SGP Neo EX.

I don't get it that you members are having negative signal issues with the Fusion RAW . I just mounted my RAW-O, with very little signal degradation. I almost didn't push the button on this one, as I didn't think their CNC router precision was of the same standard as of EC's. They're very close to EC's quality in fit and finish, but Element is still inumber one.

EDITED: on details ;).

got mine today - no signal test yet
1. good looking
2 . a bit uncomfortable to hold
3. classy packaging

50/50 satisfaction so far

Hi guys, I received the Raw with the closed back last week. Wasn't going to post because I"m pretty happy with the case so far until today when I try to use TomTom. It couldn't pick up my location at all. Not even after thirty minutes of driving. I never have that problem with my Alumacase or Vapor case. So if you guys regularly use Gps. I would suggest you guys stay away from the Raw closed back. Also ,the reception and wifi seems to be ok.

thanks for the pics, I can see where the closed back might present a problem. But its definitely a nice quality case, and seems like alot of time and effort was put into it. So im surprised some of you are experiencing gps problems.

Yea, I'm very surprised about the gps also because it doesn't affect the wifi and reception that much and seems to be ok.There's also one other problem is that it bubbles up my screen protector at the four corners. Out of the four aluminum cases that I've bought . The vapor so far is my favorite ,it's above all other cases in both fit and finish and I've had no problem with wifi, gps or reception whatsoever. Here are some more pics.

It appears to me from the pictures you provided (thank you very much by the way) there are two problems.

1) The brushed back seems to have an irregular texture. The direction and uniformity of the brushing isn't good.

2) The sides of the front look bowed due to the thickness of your screen protector and possible a back protection.

It's true, the back finish is not good at all. It does have an irregular texture and as I can tell , the brushing looks like its done by hand with a piece of sandpaper that's why it's not uniform. As for the bowed of the front, I don't think it's from my screen protector but from the felt piece that they glued to the interior.

I gotta say these pics make the case look terrible. Bowed pieces of aluminum?
Are you kidding me? Wouldn't use that case if they gave it to me.

At least the element vapor case looks like a quality case, even if it does hurt signal for some users.

I was on the pre order list for theRaw, and am glad I didn't do it.

It really looks like something made by a high school metal shop student.

I like the way fusionwerkz said on their site that the cases were not perfect!

That was an understatement.

Bit harsh dont you think?

I'm having one delivered this week, i'll put out a video review as soon as I have it on youtube.com/theiphonecase

Might be different when you see it on video? Also the guy said he left his screen protector on while on the fusionwerkz install page it says if you want to leave the screen protector on you need to take the felt out of the case. as there is no give.

Stay tuned and i'll review as soon as poss. :)
