oddly enough ergonomic mice hurt my hand... where as apple mice never have. Scroll wheel should turn to just a small track pad to scroll.

if apple would use the current wired keyboard and on the end of the numberpad add a multi touch pad plus make the keys black and backlit i would buy it no matter what even for 300

I have to agree with you. I always used a mouse with my laptop until I got my MBP. The multi-touch pad is such a pleasure to use and really makes using a mouse (with the exception of design) a little passe.

am i the only one that thinks the apple mouses not having right click without touching the keyboard is why most people have PC's instead a mac?

These would be silly people then.

The mm DOES right click, you just configure it.

I like the way you use the whole hand to rock the mouse forward to click, makes long term use quite relaxing, to right click you do the same but just lift your index finger off.

If you clean your desk and hands, the ball stays crud free.
If it jams, try rolling it upside down on a piece of clean paper - that fixed mine last time.

... with everything going aluminum, when do you think we will see a new mouse and what will it be like? Aluminum? New button layout? When?

The Apple mouse is like that green crap, weeds or something, they place on the side of your beef at fancy restaurants, or Dennys. It's close to useless.

I would be surprised if they make a new mouse. They should, logically, create an über mouse they can sell for $100 to replace the crap mouse you get with your computer as a boobi-prize for purchasing.

The best mice ever made were/are made by Microsoft. Strange, but true. However, I hate mice. Since MS turned out the 5 button scrolling thumbball (out of production since 2005) I've never gone back. If Apple would make a similar thumbball with 5 buttons, or even a 5 button mouse, I would settle with Apple products.

To me it seems as if Apple puts the least effort into the mice they produce. Remember the hockey puck?!? These modern Apple mice aren't that much better, just longer so you don't get lost in direction.
